3. IMPERATIVES
Imperatives is a verb are used to provide
command, warning, advice, instruction,
and request. This verb is one of the three
verb moods (including : subjunctive and
indicative).

Terms of use:
The verb used is a bare infinitive (without
"to").
example :
Go! , Be Careful! , Sit down!
Verb does not require the addition of the
subject because the subject " you" have
implied ( elliptical construction ) .
example :
Shut the window !

Terms of use:
The verb can be made more polite by adding
the word " do " in front of the verb.
example :
Do open the door.
The form obtained by adding a negative "do not“
or "do not" in front of the verb.
example :
Do not step on the grass . Do not be careless.

Terms of use:
If the speakers participating in the action filed
in the sentence , add "let 's " or " let us " and
the negative form , "let 's not " in front of the
verb.
example :
Let's go to the wedding ceremony. Let 's not
complain anymore.
