Theme: The Love of Education: Learning to Live Together
This international conference invites policy makers, educators, academicians, researchers, representatives
from the private sectors to participate in the examination of broad concepts of learning, linkages between
learning and social development, and the policies, tools and resources available.
Subthemes include:
1. Paradigms of learning to live together
Delineating contemporary theories of learning
Researching the context, content and mechanics of learning
Monitoring and assessing learning to live together outcomes
2. Innovative practices of learning to live together
Identifying innovative pedagogies, technologies and tools
Enhancing professional development of teachers
Designing environments and resources to promote learning to live together
3. Policies and instruments for learning to live together
Formulating policy instruments and institutional frameworks
Strengthening leadership in learning for social development
Devising financing and partnership mechanisms
Paper presentations on the abovementioned subthemes are welcome. Interested applicants must submit an
abstract (of no longer than 200 words) through the online submission tool at

papers/ . Preference will be given to papers on innovative ideas, research, best practices or lessons learned,
and to materials not previously published and information supported by current or recent research.
Registration fee for early registrants is US $250. Conference fee is US $350 for international participants,
US$150 for full-time students and US $250 each for individuals from the same organization/institution.
The fee will cover the following: attendance to all sessions, conference materials, lunch and refreshment
breaks, and welcome reception.
Deadline for submission of abstracts: August 3, 2012
Notification of abstract acceptance: August 24, 2012
Deadline of payment for early bird registration fee: October 31, 2012
Deadline of payment for registration fee: November 23, 2012
