Almost 70 percent of 5000 respondents in our 2008 Global Utility Consumer Survey are willing to experiment with how they interact with energy providers. Many consumers have specific visions of what they want – and how much they will pay for it. Their attitude change coincides with rising environmental and economic urgency that is focusing attention on energy infrastructures across the globe. To satisfy the smart energy consumer and stay competitive, utilities must plan now to encourage beneficial consumer behaviors, leverage customer analytics and segmentation, and understand the enhanced customer interactions – all vital in a participatory utility network where consumers, utilities and service providers share responsibilities and benefits.

Abstract: Currently, there is a convergence of three key factors in the global landscape that creates an opportunity for the research community to make fundamental contributions to improving the quality of life of every single citizen. Conversely, failure to recognize and act on this phenomenon may have disastrous effects on multiple levels. The first factor is the unprecedented focus and willingness to invest in the healthcare industry. The second factor is the fact that the prime directive of the healthcare sector, i.e. nothing interferes with the delivery of care, has ramifications on every aspect of information technology used in this domain. The final factor is the recognition that patient empowerment and buy-in will be critical for the advance of health information technology. These factors highlight the fact that there are inherent assumptions in the existing access models that render them ineffective and not applicable for long term use in the healthcare field. This talk will highlight all these issues and challenge the research community to delve more the industry-specific constraints that require further innovation in the space; possibly necessitating a re-examination of the core assumptions in the field. Bio: Tyrone Grandison is currently the Program Manager for Core Healthcare Services in the Healthcare Transformation group of the IBM Services Research organization (Hawthorne, New York). His immediate interests are in developing innovative solutions for ensuring patient privacy protection and for integrating information from multiple sources to get more complete views of patients to enable better decision making. Prior to this, Tyrone led the Intelligent Information Systems (Quest) team in the Computer Science department at the IBM Almaden Research Center (San Jose, California). The team pioneered research in Relational Database Privacy, Disclosure-Compliant Query Processing for RFID and Mobile Data Networks, Security Exception Handling in Healthcare Information Systems and Large Scale Text Analysis of Online Data. Tyrone is a Distinguished Engineer of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and has been further recognized by the IEEE (2010 Technical Achievement Award), the National Society of Black Engineers (i.e. Pioneer of the Year 2009) and the Black Engineer of the Year Award Board (i.e. Modern Day Technology Leader 2009, Minority in Science Trailblazer 2010). Tyrone received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica in 1997 and 1998, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in the United Kingdom. Running head: REPORT 1 REPORT 5 Consumption Behavior; Electronics Student’s Name Institutional Affiliation Topic description Consumption behavior is the manner in which an audience responds to product marketing. Consumption behavior is also referred to as buying behavior, and it revolves around the buying intentions and attitudes of individuals. It is important for producers to understand the consumption behavior of existing and prospective customers; this way, they can make goods and services that align to customer tastes and preferences (Friedman, 2018). In addition to that, understanding consumption behavior helps producers to manufacture or process goods that match the aggregate demand of customers. It is not advisable for a business to engage in mass production without considering rough estimates for demand as such may lead to excess inventory that never manages to get off the shelves. This project will give invaluable insights with respect to the behavior of buyers towards electrical appliances. Significance of the Project The project is significant because it will answer a multiplicity of pertinent questions regarding market equilibrium of electronic appliances, the influence of Adam Smith's invisible hand in the electronics market, determinants of aggregate demand, and drivers of supply among others. As such, consumers, suppliers, producers, and investors will find the study insightful with respect to answering market questions they may have (Roos & Hahn, 2017). The significance of the research questions offered by the study is that it will make audiences more rational in the choices they make. First, after reading the study, buyers may decide to commit to buying high-quality products as opposed to those of less quality which require replacement every six months. What's more, a majority of the producers that read the study may be influenced to produce high-quality products that make their brand unique in the eyes of customers; with a promise of high quality and longevity of the products involved to customers. Third, the research may influence suppliers to be more committed to excellence. Historical Data for Key Parameters The steady sale of electronics in The US does seemed to have followed a clear pattern over time. The frequency with which consumers buy electronics seems quite high. Most producers are looking strike a balance between quality and price get the most customers. Where some are just trying to cash in with cheap and flashy items. The graph below depicts the time line for The US computer/software store sales from 1992 to 2015. Currently, the US Electronics Store Sales is in excess of $25 Billion USD annually. Source: https://www.statista.com/statistics/197603/annual-computer-and-software-store-sales-in-the-us-since-1992/ The necessity of electronics to us becomes evident when you look at how many US homes have them. On January 27, 2010, Spectrum and Aurora presented a PRSA webinar on how to leverage social media in a regulated industry. It is important for the health care industry to begin 2010 with a clear vision for embracing social media. In 2009, health care regulators finally started to address the issue - from the FDA's public hearings to the creation of a digital marketing working group by the UK's Pharmaceutical Marketing Society. There is no denying that consumers are constantly turning to the Internet as a source for health information. As communications professionals, we need to understand the opportunities, challenges and threats of the emerging digital world.

Part of the "2016 Annual Conference: Big Data, Health Law, and Bioethics" held at Harvard Law School on May 6, 2016. This conference aimed to: (1) identify the various ways in which law and ethics intersect with the use of big data in health care and health research, particularly in the United States; (2) understand the way U.S. law (and potentially other legal systems) currently promotes or stands as an obstacle to these potential uses; (3) determine what might be learned from the legal and ethical treatment of uses of big data in other sectors and countries; and (4) examine potential solutions (industry best practices, common law, legislative, executive, domestic and international) for better use of big data in health care and health research in the U.S. The Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics at Harvard Law School 2016 annual conference was organized in collaboration with the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and the Health Ethics and Policy Lab, University of Zurich. Security of Health Care Records With the increase of health information technology used to store and access patient information, the likelihood of security breaches has also risen. In fact, according to the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ): In the United States, there was a whopping 97% increase in the number of health records breached from 2010 to 2011… The number of patient records accessed in each breach has also increased substantially, from 26,968 (in 2010) to 49,394 (in 2011). Since August 2009, when the US government regulated that any breach affecting more than 500 patients be publicly disclosed, a total of 385 breaches, involving more than 19 million records, have been reported to the Department of Health and Human Services. A large portion of those breaches, 39%, occurred because of a lost, stolen, or otherwise compromised portable electronic device—a problem that will likely only get worse as iPads, smartphones, and other gadgets become more common in hospitals. (CMAJ, 2012, p. E215). Consider your own experiences. Does your organization use portable electronic devices? What safeguards are in place to ensure the security of data and patient information? For this Discussion you consider ethical and security issues surrounding the protection of digital health information. To prepare: · Review the Learning Resources dealing with the security of digital health care information. Reflect on your own organization or one with which you are familiar, and think about how health information stored electronically is protected. · Consider the nurse’s responsibility to ensure the protection of patient information. Some of the measurements are subjective, such as patient satisfaction, while others are quantitative, such as percentage of patients with their diabetes under control. A detailed reviewed of the steps venture capitalists and companies are taking — models such as fail-fast R&D, asset-centric funding and more. www.seribangash.com An Article of Association is a legal document that contains the rules, regulations, and guidelines for the internal management and operation of a company. It is one of the two key documents along with the Memorandum of Association that forms the company's constitution, outlining its structure and objectives. While the Memorandum of Association defines the company's external objectives and powers, the Article of Association deals with its internal affairs. https://seribangash.com/public-private-company-difference/ Here's a detailed note on the Article of Association: Contents: The Article of Association typically includes provisions regarding the rights and duties of shareholders, the appointment and removal of directors, the conduct of board and general meetings, the distribution of dividends, the issuance and transfer of shares, borrowing powers of the company, and any other matters relating to the administration and management of the company. Flexibility: Unlike the Memorandum of Association, which is relatively fixed and requires formal procedures to amend, the Article of Association can be amended more easily by passing a special resolution in a general meeting of shareholders. This flexibility allows companies to adapt their internal rules according to changing circumstances and requirements. https://seribangash.com/public-private-company-difference/ Standard Provisions: While companies have the flexibility to customize their Articles to suit their specific needs, certain standard provisions are commonly included, such as: Shareholders' rights and obligations: Including voting rights, procedures for convening meetings, and methods for appointing proxies. Directors' powers and responsibilities: Specifying the powers of the board of directors, procedures for appointment, retirement, and removal of directors, and rules for board meetings. Dividend policies: Outlining the procedures for declaring and distributing dividends to shareholders. Transfer of shares: Stipulating the process for transferring shares, including any restrictions or pre-emption rights. Borrowing powers: Defining the limits and conditions under which the company can borrow money. https://seribangash.com/public-private-company-difference/ Winding up procedures: Describing the procedures for voluntary or involuntary winding up of the company. Legal Requirement: In most jurisdictions, companies are required to have Articles of Association as part of their incorporation documents. These Articles must comply with the laws and regulations of the jurisdiction in which the company is registered. Public Accessibility: While the Memorandum of Association is a public document that anyone can access, the Article of Association is often kept as an internal document and may not be available for public inspection. Binding Nature: The provisions contained in the Article of Association are binding on the company, its shareholders, directors, and other officers.

It’s like maintaining a diary for your business’s financial affairs. Picture this: Every dollar coming in and every penny going out is diligently noted and neatly organized, just like entries in a personal journal. For instance, imagine you own a small bakery. Every time a customer buys a cupcake or you purchase ingredients like flour and sugar, those transactions are recorded in your business diary. It’s a straightforward way of keeping tabs on your bakery’s financial story, making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Building Moonshots In today's rapidly evolving world, many industries have experienced disruption or are on the cusp of one. While organisations often discuss the importance of innovation and disruption for growth, it's not uncommon to find ourselves defaulting to familiar patterns and maintaining the status quo. To thrive amidst this change, businesses of all sizes must adopt strategic foresight not as an option but as an essential strategy. Developing strategic foresight enables organizations to anticipate and proactively respond to future challenges, ensuring they remain adaptable and resilient in an ever-changing landscape. By moving beyond "business as usual" thinking and embracing innovative approaches, companies can position themselves for long-term success.

The initial resource estimate on the high-grade silver “Waterpump Creek” zone of our 100% owned carbonate replacement deposit (CRD) was published in February 2024. Our intact mineral system encompasses the past producing Illinois Creek gold-silver mine, the Waterpump Creek deposit, and the Honker gold prospect, which make up the CRD system in focus. 25 kilometers northeast of the Illinois Creek CRD are the Round Top copper and the TG North CRD prospects. All prospects were originally discovered by Anaconda Minerals Co. in the 1980's. Since 2010, WAM reassembled the Anaconda land package and has been actively exploring the district. WAM’s 100% owned claims cover 73,120 acres (114.25 square miles). WAM brings together a team of seasoned professionals. Our strategic approach is underpinned by innovative exploration techniques and a deep understanding of the geological intricacies of the region.
