Brian Acton and Jan Koum
invented WhatsApp incorporation
in 2009.

He got his engineer license at
the University of Florida.
He worked for Yahoo for 20 years.

His major accomplishment is WhatsApp.

Jan Koum was born in Ukraine in 1.976.
He studied Computer Science at
San Jose University.
He worked for Yahoo for 20 years.
He loves drinks and snacks.
He chose the name for the app
because it sounds like “what´s up”.

per day in August
2012, two billion in
April 2012, and one
billion in October
2011.
