• H index:
– an author-level metric that attempts to measure both the productivity and
citation impact of the publications of a scientist or scholar. The index is based
on the set of the scientist's most cited papers and the number of citations that
they have received in other publications.
• i10-Index:• i10-Index:
– the number of publications with at least 10 citations. This very simple measure
is only used by Google Scholar, and is another way to help gauge the
productivity of a scholar. Advantages of i10-Index. Very simple and
straightforward to calculate.

Mengenali H-index
• Journal h-index is one measure of the quality of a journal and can be
calculated using data from Web of Science, Scopus or Google Scholar. As
with the impact factor, journal h-index does not take into account differing
citation practices of fields (unlike the weighted SJR and SNIP) and so is
best used to compare journals within a field.
• While JCR's impact factor offers calculations based on windows• While JCR's impact factor offers calculations based on windows
of two and five years, and SJR and SNIP are based on three years, the h-
index publication window can be selected to best suit the citation
practices of a discipline.

Quartile Rangking (Q)
• Based on Impact Factor (IF) data, the Journal Citation Reports published
by Thomson Reuters provides yearly rankings of science and social science
journals, in the subject categories relevant for the journal (in fact, there
may be more than one).
• Quartile rankings are therefore derived for each journal in each of its
subject categories according to which quartile of the IF distribution the
journal occupies for that subject category. Q1 denotes the top 25% of thejournal occupies for that subject category. Q1 denotes the top 25% of the
IF distribution, Q2 for middle-high position (between top 50% and top
25%), Q3 middle-low position (top 75% to top 50%), and Q4 the lowest
position (bottom 25% of the IF distribution).
• For example, the 2009 Impact Factor for the ACM TRANSACTIONS ON
SENSOR NETWORKS is 1.938. Thus, the journal ranks 32-nd (out of 116
journals, Q2 quartile) in the subject category COMPUTER SCIENCE,
INFORMATION SYSTEMS, while it ranks 11-th (out of 76 journals, Q1
