4. WEATHER
Las Vegas remains very hot throughout the year.
In spring, the temperatures reach a maximum of around 21°C in March, and last until
the end of the season in May. Temperatures at night are usually around a comfortable
10°C.
The desert climate kicks into gear in summer with average lows of around 25°C in
June/July and highs of 40°C in July. The average temperature then cools slightly in
August to around 36°C. Thankfully, the heat is offset by a comparatively low humidity.
In autumn, the maximum temperature continues to drop, reaching maximums of 28°C
in October and 19°C in November.
Winters remain pleasant in the city, with average maximum temperatures hovering
around 17°C. Lows of 1°C have been experienced, but are uncommon.
5. CLOTHING
If you’re travelling to Las Vegas in summer, be prepared for the desert
heat. The lightest available clothes should be worn, and depending on
your activities, you may need to change outfits midway through the day.
Protection from the sun, such as sunglasses, sun cream and a hat will
prove valuable.
The array of Las Vegas casinos and establishments are kept at a very
comfortable temperature, but many also have strict dress codes that
should be researched ahead of your journey.
