IntroductionIntroduction
I needed some feedback for my school magazines, so when making my music magazine I can improve and correct the mistakes I
have made and help me get a visual idea , of the next main task which is to construct and create a music magazine, that will fit in
the appropriate music genre . To collect the feedback I gave a questionnaire to fifteen pupils & teachers to ask what they think
of my magazine and if there are any ways to improve it , I sort of did the same at the start ,when I gave fifteen pupils & teachers
a questionnaire to see what they would like to see in my school magazines, so this is just a reassurance stage to see if , I put
everything in the magazine that they wanted to see.
Q1.How's your overall reaction when you first saw this magazine?Q1.How's your overall reaction when you first saw this magazine?
Improvement
Question 1 Analysis-
I used this question to ask what peoples
reaction was ,when they first saw my
magazine as first impressions are the last and
in this case majority of the pupils/teachers
said the magazines was great and looked like a
real magazine , however under 1/3 of
pupils/teachers said it was good and can be
improved , I left blank spaces for them to put
some improvements I could make next
time .Most replies where that the spelling
should be checked and the pictures could
have been edited to made look more
interesting.
To conclude I think next time I should be
careful with my spelling and edit some of the
images ,therefore enhance or change the
perceptive of the picture to make them look
more interesting and attractive , and so next
time when making my music magazines I will
put all the advice and improvements made by
my peeps and teachers to some good use .

Q2. Do you feel the articles are relevant to you?Q2. Do you feel the articles are relevant to you?
Question 2 Analysis-
I used this question to ask people, if the
articles are appealing to them , because
essentially the school magazine is about
them and their school life's so the topics
mentioned should be about the topics they
like and what goes on around the school
and other factors that concern their choices
and options made at Holy Trinity Media Arts
College.
Thankfully , more than 50% of
pupils/teachers chose the “yes” option . I
think this is because , I gave a wide range of
articles for different age groups ,e.g.
students, parents and teachers. By giving a
wider range of topics it will bring a wider
range of audiences as this magazine
involves everybody who is involved in the
school and not just the students.
None of the people picked the “no” option
as every body thought that there was a
topic that related to them .Many people
chose the “nicely balance out” option as it
was not biased and concerned everybody.
Some students picked the “not really
option” as they wanted more topics/articles
about them and less on the teachers and
parents.

Q3. How's the layout?Q3. How's the layout?
Question 3 Analysis-
I believe the layout is important , when
creating a good magazine , because if
people think the layout is too formal or
boring it puts them off reading the rest of
the article and so I have tried to encourage
people reading my magazine by , changing
the layout so the contents page is not in
columns , but instead gone with a different
and creative mosaic look , which judging
from my school magazine questionnaire
answers , it was more interesting than
columns as it is short and separate by
images so text and images are balanced.
Around half of the people chose the “great”
option , , also they thought it was a nice
break from seeing columns ever where and
sets a young and trendy feel to the
magazines that will hope attract more
younger aged readers.
Only one person chose the “boring” option,
well , I think my magazines is good but
everyone is entitled to their own opinion
and of they felt that the school magazine
was totally irrelevant and didn’t like the
layout as , they thought ,the layout just
made the reading more confusing.

Q4. What do you think is the best part of the magazine?Q4. What do you think is the best part of the magazine?
Question 4 Analysis-
I used this question to see what the
pupils/teachers thought was the best part of
my magazines and what part they best liked
and thought was relevant and spoke to them.
The majority of people chose the “layout”
options as they thought is was different and
trendy and made the magazines attract the
younger audience and had it look youth full
,put some teacher said they would read it
because the teacher’s article are relevant to
them and that it is nice to see article that are
spefic to all stereotypes.
Many people liked my wider range of picture
that were of the school and of the pupils and
staff to show the unity of the college as a
whole and that all people where represented
in my magazines , other liked the text as the
articles interested them and they would
consider reading them , if it was actually real.

Q5. Do you think is there anything I can improve?Q5. Do you think is there anything I can improve?

Question 5 Analysis-
This was the main reason I gave people this
audience feedback questionnaire , to helps
and give me advice on the mistakes I have
made and how I could improve my magazines
and tips for when I make my music magazine.
Most people chose the “edit images” options
as they thought the images looks to natural
and the pictures could look ten times better
when edited and enhanced as is can be a big
eye opener.
My spelling could have been better, as I have
made the same spelling mistakes on both
front and contents page ,e.g. spelling “buliding
instead of “buliding” and other small mistakes
that affected the professional look of the
magazine.
I left a “other” option for people to fill in , the
three people who chose that colours said that
there should be more articles , as they said it
would be a pleasure reading them and could
make the magazine fascinating if there where
more articles.
To conclude , with al the feedback given form my peers I now know how to
plan my music magazine and what articles and topics I should put in it ,and I
will correct the mistakes I have made in my preliminary task and next time ,
have a better and more professional looking music magazine.

Thankfully , more than 50% of pupils/teachers chose the “yes” option . I think this is because , I gave a wide range of articles for different age groups ,e.g. students, parents and teachers. By giving a wider range of topics it will bring a wider range of audiences as this magazine involves everybody who is involved in the school and not just the students. None of the people picked the “no” option as every body thought that there was a topic that related to them .Many people chose the “nicely balance out” option as it was not biased and concerned everybody. Some students picked the “not really option” as they wanted more topics/articles about them and less on the teachers and parents. Frequency Categories
  • 5. Q3. How's the layout?Q3. How's the layout? Question 3 Analysis- I believe the layout is important , when creating a good magazine , because if people think the layout is too formal or boring it puts them off reading the rest of the article and so I have tried to encourage people reading my magazine by , changing the layout so the contents page is not in columns , but instead gone with a different and creative mosaic look , which judging from my school magazine questionnaire answers , it was more interesting than columns as it is short and separate by images so text and images are balanced. Around half of the people chose the “great” option , , also they thought it was a nice break from seeing columns ever where and sets a young and trendy feel to the magazines that will hope attract more younger aged readers. Only one person chose the “boring” option, well , I think my magazines is good but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and of they felt that the school magazine was totally irrelevant and didn’t like the layout as , they thought ,the layout just made the reading more confusing. • 6. Q4. What do you think is the best part of the magazine?Q4. What do you think is the best part of the magazine? Question 4 Analysis- I used this question to see what the pupils/teachers thought was the best part of my magazines and what part they best liked and thought was relevant and spoke to them. The majority of people chose the “layout” options as they thought is was different and trendy and made the magazines attract the younger audience and had it look youth full ,put some teacher said they would read it because the teacher’s article are relevant to them and that it is nice to see article that are spefic to all stereotypes. Many people liked my wider range of picture that were of the school and of the pupils and staff to show the unity of the college as a whole and that all people where represented in my magazines , other liked the text as the articles interested them and they would consider reading them , if it was actually real. • 7. Q5. Do you think is there anything I can improve?Q5. Do you think is there anything I can improve? Frequency Categories Question 5 Analysis- This was the main reason I gave people this audience feedback questionnaire , to helps and give me advice on the mistakes I have made and how I could improve my magazines and tips for when I make my music magazine. Most people chose the “edit images” options as they thought the images looks to natural and the pictures could look ten times better when edited and enhanced as is can be a big eye opener. My spelling could have been better, as I have made the same spelling mistakes on both front and contents page ,e.g. spelling “buliding instead of “buliding” and other small mistakes that affected the professional look of the magazine. I left a “other” option for people to fill in , the three people who chose that colours said that there should be more articles , as they said it would be a pleasure reading them and could make the magazine fascinating if there where more articles. To conclude , with al the feedback given form my peers I now know how to plan my music magazine and what articles and topics I should put in it ,and I will correct the mistakes I have made in my preliminary task and next time , have a better and more professional looking music magazine.
