Assessment Criteria
A Candidate is assessed by examining his or her competence using
Reviewing Education and Experience – A combination of education
and/or experience in project management is required for certification.
Testing competence – The candidate is required to apply project
management concepts and experience to potential on-the-job situations
through a series of scenario-based questions.
Ongoing Development – Maintenance of a PMI certification requires
the accumulation of ongoing Professional Development and Education.

passed the exam if you have not fulfilled the
Continuing Certification Requirements towards
credential maintenance and renewal.
Credential Expiration
Occurs at the end of your suspension period if you
did not fulfill the Continuing Certification
Requirements towards credential maintenance
and renewal. If you wish to hold the credential
again, you need to reapply.

About Exam
Computer-based testing (CBT) is the standard method of administration for PMI
examination.
Duration of examination - 4 hours
There are no scheduled breaks during the exam.
Exam is preceded by an 15 minutes of tutorial.
200 objective type questions.
175 questions for scoring and the rest 25 for validating future examination
questions.
Exams are online and are conducted at Prometric centers only.
Nearest prometric center for us is Borivali, Mumbai.

Some Important Tips for Exam....
Answer each question from PMI perspective, not the perspective we have
acquired from our real world and/or life experience.
Make sure, you have not only read the question but identified the actual
question.
Read all four choices carefully before you select the answer
There may be more than one “Correct” answer to each question, but only one
“Best” answer.
Be careful on distracters.

Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Program
Once PMP credential is obtained, one need to participate in CCR program
to maintain an active certification status.
The PMP Certification cycle lasts for three years.
During this period one need to earn 60 professional development units
(PDU) towards credential maintenance.
PDU categories fall into two divisions.
