How to set up
HOOTSUITE

To start of, let us create
an account

Open your web browser

This is your opened browser

I used Google Chrome

Type in www.hootsuite.com
here

Then press Enter

Welcome to Hootsuite
homepage

You can sign in with…

Twitter,

Facebook,

Or Google+.

But for this tutorial…

Let us use create new account

Click create new account

A box will appear.

Fill it with your Full name,

Email,

And password,

Then click create account,

This will be the next page.

Next, we will add our social
networks

For this example, lets add
Twitter.

Click Twitter

A new window will appear.

Type in your password here,

Then click authorize app

Success!

We have added our twitter
account.

Click continue

Again, click done adding social
networks.

A welcome note will appear.

To exit, click ‘I want to explore
on my own’

This is now your dashboard.

How to
Publish a Content

From your dashboard,

Put your mouse pointer here,

A set of menu will appear to
your screen

Click Publisher

This is the inside of your
publisher.

Click compose message

Type in here your message.

Next click this pin,

For your message to be posted
in Twitter.

If you want your message to be
posted immediately,

Click Send now.

But if you want to schedule your
message

Click this calendar icon.

Then this will appear.

To change the date for your
post,

Click here in the calendar for
the day,

And here to navigate the month

Another way is here,

Change here the day

And the month

To change the time for your
post,

Click here for the hour,

And for the minutes here.

Click AM for morning

and PM for evening

Finally click schedule

And were done!

Here will appear your scheduled
messages.

How to add a
Social Network

Click your name at the side
menu bar

Click Add a Social Network

Choose the social network you
want to add here.

Lets add Facebook.

Click Facebook,

Then click connect with
Facebook,

A new window will appear

Type in your password here,

Then click continue

Hootsuite will ask you,

Click Ok

Hootsuite will ask permission,

Click Okay

Choose which Facebook
account you want to add.

For this, I will add my personal
page.

Click the box beside the picture

Then click add selected
accounts

And your done!

You will see the added account
here,

How to add a stream for
each social account.

Click Streams at the side menu
bar

This is your stream page,

To add a stream,

Click the inverted triangle,

And choose from the account you
want to make a stream first.

For this example, I want to start
on my Facebook page

Click Facebook page.

These are your options for
Facebook stream

Click Timeline,

Then a stream of your Facebook
timeline will appear.

Click on messages,

To see your stream of messages
you will receive.

Click scheduled

For your scheduled post stream

Rename your stream here.

Click My first tab,

Type in Facebook Page

Then press enter key.

How to put a stream for
your other social
account?

Click the (+) button

A new tab will appear.

Type in Twitter,

Then press Enter key

Your Dashboard will appear like
this.

These are your options for your
Twitter stream

Click Home,

For the stream of feeds in your
Twitter

Click Mentions,

For a stream to see who
mentioned you.

Click scheduled,

For the stream of your scheduled
posts

Click these tabs to see the
streams of each social account.

Click this (V) button,

To set the time of interval, of
refreshing the feeds of your
account.

Hooray! 

You have successfully set
up your Hootsuite.

Now you can manage
multiple accounts by
using this powerful tool.
