MBA Project:
Title : Market analysis of 4 wheeler clutch products in automotive after market
Duration : 10 weeks
Organization : MICO Ltd, Bangalore.
Details : The scope of the project was to undertake market analysis of 4-wheeler clutch
products in automotive market. A survey was conducted for 4-wheeler retailers and
mechanics. The study provided a concrete background of clutch product industry to MICO for
re-introducing the same in the market. Recommendations regarding improvement in quality
of clutch, emphasis on promotional aspects and maintaining direct contacts with retailers were
given.
B.E. Project
Title : “Process Capability – A measure of Reliability”
Duration : 12 weeks.
Organization : WIDIA (INDIA) Ltd., Bangalore.
Description : The project was aimed at undertaking Process Capability study of few critical
machines at WIDIA. The machines include grinding & milling machines. During the study all
the possible causes for the process instability of the machines were identified and were
analysed through brain storming session. The main problems identified were, use of improper
grade of grinding wheels & problem in their dressing, spindle accuracy & orientation problem
and problem in axes shift & repeatability. Relative solutions were suggest ed for these
problems, which improved the process capability of the machines.
