1. Cited Reference Searching in Social Sciences Citation Index & Science Citation Index

2. It all begins with a published research study on your topic of interest . . .

3. Maybe you have been researching the transition from preschool to kindergarten . . .

8. Using Social Sciences Citation Index and Science Citation Index, you can see which articles from thousands of scholarly journals in the sciences and social sciences cited this article among their references.

9. Scholarly research articles always include a review of the work that was done before them in the same subject.

10. So anyone doing research on children’s adjustment from preschool to kindergarten since 1987 would be expected to cite this article when they publish their research.
