Brazilian extradition procedure: Jurisdiction of the Federal Supreme Court.

The Brazilian extradition process does not allow the Federal Supreme Court to examine the merits of criminal cases in requesting states. The Court only has jurisdiction over the extradition procedure itself and not the underlying criminal matter. This was confirmed in a 2014 ruling by Minister Celso de Mello.
