4. 1. TOOTH ACHE

5. ● Tooth ache is caused when the nerve to a tooth is irritated.
● Pain is caused due to dental infections, gum disease, plaque,
dental decay, injury or loss of the tooth.
● If you notice the pus near the source of pain, your teeth may be
abscessed and may infect the surrounding bone. (Or) the pus
could indicate gum disease which is usually characterised by
inflammation of the soft tissue, bleeding gums and abnormal loss
of the bone surrounding the teeth.
