Payroll applications are very complex :
● Legal environment in constant evolution
● Diverse rules levels: gov, activity sectors, compa-
ny, category of individuals,...
● Very critical for workers and companies
● Needs data for calculation with specific validity
period (mutations during payroll period, payment
anticipation, retro-active regularization, ...)
● Numerous country specific rules, reporting &
electronic declarations for cotisations, taxes ...

● Currently payroll is a « restricted area » of
proprietary editors (SAP, Sage, ADP,...)
● We were convinced we can develop a payroll en-
vironment on OpenERP, and thus developed a
payroll prototype

● Parameters attached to entities: company, legal frame,
activity frame, contractual frame, employees, payslip lines

● Linked with OpenERP general ledger and analytic ac-
counts, employees, …
● Sub-modules for country specific declarations, repor-
