― Pilot project 2022-2024 “How organisations working with adult learning
can contribute to the sustainable development”. Research, compare and
develop Nordic education models that support transformation and the
development towards the normalization of more sustainable lifestyles.
― Identify key drivers promoting transformation and disseminate. Variety of
stakeholders: (folkbildning, NGO, vocational education, + + )

Competitive Nordic region
― Explore how employees' digital skills and knowledge can be strengthened for
the benefit of working life. Research project on employees' digital
competences in small and medium-sized manufacturing companies across
the Nordic countries (99% companies are in this group).
― Support the further development of national or regional systems for
validation of prior learning through quality development and benchmarking
of validation systems in the Nordic region. Nordic quality compass for
validation of prior learning into all Nordic languages.
― How to bring transversal / transferable skills and competences
closer to (into) the validation process?
― Examine how the Nordic countries introduce and use micro-credentials.

Getting everyone on board
― Research project focusing on hard to reach learners: identify current Nordic
challenges and find common Nordic solutions to support digital learning
and inclusion, develop adults' digital skills and diminish the digital divide.
― Mapping and analyzing of initiatives aiming at reducing digital gaps in the
light of the digital transformation in the Nordic countries:
• Initiatives directly addressed to participants (24)
• Initiatives aimed at supervisors, counsellors and teaching staff (7)
• Open digital education resources (OER) and other key resources for
education providers (9)
A research-based learning design created together with the stakeholders:
migrants, refugees, older adults and educators emphasising social inclusion and
empowerment. The project argues that citizens must be seen as a resource in
solving the problem of digital exclusion.

  • 1. GENERATION 2030 Kompetanseutvikling og livslang læring for voksne: kompetanseplanlegging / (kompetensforsörgning) og arbeidslivsrelevans. ― Nordic meeting 2022 Adult Learning, Competence development and Competence planning /-provision.
  • 2. GENERATION 2030 2 NVL supports the development and implementation of lifelong learning strategies (Action plan 2021-24) ― Dynamic and flexible network organization ― Cross-sectoral cooperation ― Expertise and overview through NVL:s host organizations and network members ― Relevant themes
  • 3. GENERATION 2030 NVL has 9 active networks in 2022, 7 in 2023
  • 4. GENERATION 2030 Sustainability in and through adult learning ― Motivation, pedagogy and method development. Share knowledge that supports the local community and citizens in their work with sustainability. ― Online inspiration resource https://nvl.org/inspirationshandbog/ ― Pilot project 2022-2024 “How organisations working with adult learning can contribute to the sustainable development”. Research, compare and develop Nordic education models that support transformation and the development towards the normalization of more sustainable lifestyles. ― Identify key drivers promoting transformation and disseminate. Variety of stakeholders: (folkbildning, NGO, vocational education, + + ) 4
  • 5. GENERATION 2030 Competitive Nordic region ― Explore how employees' digital skills and knowledge can be strengthened for the benefit of working life. Research project on employees' digital competences in small and medium-sized manufacturing companies across the Nordic countries (99% companies are in this group). ― Support the further development of national or regional systems for validation of prior learning through quality development and benchmarking of validation systems in the Nordic region. Nordic quality compass for validation of prior learning into all Nordic languages. ― How to bring transversal / transferable skills and competences closer to (into) the validation process? ― Examine how the Nordic countries introduce and use micro-credentials. 5

GENERATION 2030 Getting everyone on board ― Research project focusing on hard to reach learners: identify current Nordic challenges and find common Nordic solutions to support digital learning and inclusion, develop adults' digital skills and diminish the digital divide. ― Mapping and analyzing of initiatives aiming at reducing digital gaps in the light of the digital transformation in the Nordic countries: • Initiatives directly addressed to participants (24) • Initiatives aimed at supervisors, counsellors and teaching staff (7) • Open digital education resources (OER) and other key resources for education providers (9) A research-based learning design created together with the stakeholders: migrants, refugees, older adults and educators emphasising social inclusion and empowerment. The project argues that citizens must be seen as a resource in solving the problem of digital exclusion. 6
