Competitive Nordic region
― Explore how employees' digital skills and knowledge can be strengthened for
the benefit of working life. Research project on employees' digital
competences in small and medium-sized manufacturing companies across
the Nordic countries (99% companies are in this group).
― Support the further development of national or regional systems for
validation of prior learning through quality development and benchmarking
of validation systems in the Nordic region. Nordic quality compass for
validation of prior learning into all Nordic languages.
― How to bring transversal / transferable skills and competences
closer to (into) the validation process?
― Examine how the Nordic countries introduce and use micro-credentials.

Getting everyone on board
― Research project focusing on hard to reach learners: identify current Nordic
challenges and find common Nordic solutions to support digital learning
and inclusion, develop adults' digital skills and diminish the digital divide.
― Mapping and analyzing of initiatives aiming at reducing digital gaps in the
light of the digital transformation in the Nordic countries:
• Initiatives directly addressed to participants (24)
• Initiatives aimed at supervisors, counsellors and teaching staff (7)
• Open digital education resources (OER) and other key resources for
education providers (9)
A research-based learning design created together with the stakeholders:
migrants, refugees, older adults and educators emphasising social inclusion and
empowerment. The project argues that citizens must be seen as a resource in
solving the problem of digital exclusion.
