3. Strategies to improve your
English speaking skills
- Practise where you can, when you can.
- It's important to build your confidence.
- Try to experiment with the English you know.
- Expand your vocabulary.
- Work on your pronunciation.
- Try to respond to what people say to you.

4. - Try not to translate into and from your own
language.
- If you forget a word, do something to not be
silent.
- Don't speak too fast!
- Try to relax when you speak.

5. How can you practice your
English speaking skills?
- Join an English language club.
- Sing along with English songs.
- Use Skype and other social networking.
- Take English lessons.
- Travel to English speaking countries.
- Record some of your conversations in English.

6. Before you start speaking
- Try to plan what you want to say.
- Practise standard expressions.
- As well as concentrating on what you want to
say, also concentrate on listening to the other
person.

7. Remember, when you are
speaking English…
- Try to become less hesitant and more
confident.
- Remember to be polite – use "please" and
"thank you".
- Don't be shy to speak.
