Contexts

2. My learning and teaching contexts are both
broad and varied. As I move through my life,
from one day to the next, I cannot help but
learn and as I learn I cannot help but teach,
although my teaching is not always structured,
and my learning is seldom formal.

3. I learn through observation....
Observing termite behaviour at a field site
in Tygerberg Nature Reserve in the Western Cape of South Africa

4. ...and teach by demonstration.
Undergraduates learning how to photograph agarose gels
to visualise PCR products.

5. I learn from backboards....
