  1. We’d like to thank you for being on the call today, and welcome you to the Overview of MentorRings . . . Our newest mentoring initiative women. The concept for MentorRings was really born out of how to help women Fit In and Stand Out and navigate that balance effectively in an organization and in their careers. We piloted this program last year, and both the participants and the organization sponsors embraced it warmly. Now we are fully ready to LAUNCH on a broader scale, and hope you too will see the benefits. This overview will take about 20 minutes, and since the presentation is short, we’ll ask you to hold questions till to the end. By way of introductions then, CLICK
  2. Kathy Intro: I am KK, President of TMG . Regina Grund, Director of Mentoring is also on the call with me. Regina is a facilitator and content developer for MentorRings and is a Certified Personal Brand Specialist and coach on our team. Regina Intro: First of all, a big warm Welcome to all of you! Some 20 years ago I wrote my masters thesis on the Importance of Mentoring for Women. Though Mentoring Approaches have changed, my passion for working with women has not faltered. I am a certified Personal Branding Coach to women, and love bringing my clients into the “Consciously Competent” field. My career includes posts as Educator, Corporate HR, Training & Development. Back to Kathy: At TMG, Mentoring is not only our business, it is our passion. For over 20 years we have mentored thousands of individuals in their careers and consulted with organizations on talent management initiatives. While working with professionals and leaders in organizations, I recognized that there were particular challenges for women and needs that were not being met which moved me to create a Career Mentoring Alliance for Women that has endured for nearly 20 years now. The MentorRings concept is born out of passion to create a new offering for women to support their personal and professional development. MentorRings is born out of everything we’ve learned. MentorRings is a unique, and cost-effective program because it combines the Best of Mentoring, Best of Career Development AND the best of Personal Branding. We’ve worked with organizations to roll out Career Development initiatives over the years with the goal of shifting ownership for career management to the employee or associate. These initiatives always included self-assessment on the front end and concluded with a development Plan. This seemed tidy enough . . . Except for the MISSING PIECE!   12. Ideal candidates are Manager Level and above as well as Individual Contributors with a minimum of 7 years of experience. One company can sponsor up to 3 women per MentorRing. Sponsoring organizations will be grouped in a “ring” based on geographic proximity (Chicago, northern & western suburban locations) to provide for rotational sessions at sponsoring organization’s locations and the opportunity for participants to meet conveniently on their own. Nominated candidates will complete an application process to identify personal goals and objectives and establish their commitment to the program.
