2. PRESENTATION ON
“IMPORTANT PARTS OF RING FRAME”

3. RING FRAME MACHINE
A process of spinning in which the yarn
is twisted and drawn while passing
through a small metal device traveling
rapidly around a ring in the operation
of winding the yarn onto a bobbin.

4. MAIN OPERATIONS OF RING MACHINE:
 Creeling: By this process the drawn sliver is introduced to the
draft zone from sliver can manually.
 Drafting: To reduce the weight per unit length by drafting
 Twisting: To make turn within the fibre of the drafted material
to hold them together.
 Winding: To wound the roving or to upright bobbin in a
particular manner so that it can be used in the next machine
easily.
 Doffing: Doffing is to replace an empty bobbin at the place of
fully wound bobbin.

6. FEATURE OF CONDENSERS:
1. Three specially designed trumpet guides or
condenser are used in the drafting section of the
machine.
2. Condensers are mounted on a reciprocating bar
behind the drafting arrangement.
3. The second condenser is provided in break draft
field.
4. And the 3rd one is located in main draft field.

8. FEATURE OF APRON:
1. In the modern roving frame a double apron
system is provided at the middle pair of drafting
rollers.
2. Rubber Apron is made of synthetic rubber
material, with excellent wear-resistance/oil-
resistance/ageing-resistance and smooth
surface.
3. it is of good stability, flexibility & wide application.
4. It contains cradle for guiding its direction of
length.

10. FEATURES OF RING:
1. Ring guides the circular run of the travellar.
2. It also help in twisting by means of running of the travellar.
3. It also actas as a track of traveller.
Features of a traveller:
1. Generate less heat.
2. Dissipate heat fastly.
3. Have sufficient elasticity for easy insertion and to retain its
original shape after insertion.
4. Hardness of the traveller should be less than the ring.

1. Twisting and winding is performed by spindle.
2. It holds the bobbin.
3. The capacity of ring frame is mainly determine by
the number of spindle.

1. Lappet consists of thread guide and an arm.
2. Continual up and down movement during
winding of the layers.
3. Continual upward shift through a small distance
in accordance with the building motion.
