1. When I see a glass of water I don’t see it as half full or half empty. I see a glass and
wonder about the technology used in producing glass. Was it was made in the U.S. or
was it imported? Glass is heavy but fragile, right? It must require certain expertise to
transport it without breakage while keeping the costs down. And I haven’t even
begun on the water…
I am a curious person. I’ve been that way my whole life, even as a child when I read
the labels on peanut butter jars and cereal boxes to see where things were made.
Being curious was helpful when I landed my first job on a trading floor and it’s
brought me to where I today. Curiosity, hard work, dedication to deep exploration,
intellectual honesty, and personal integrity are values that I strive to maintain in my
daily life.
To answer the question, I am an optimist. I’ve seen markets crash and later rebound.
I’ve seen buildings crumble and entire neighborhoods decay only to be rebuilt into
vibrant communities. I believe in the ability of humans to find solutions to problems
and join forces to implement them.
I know certain things:
Other people are more interesting than I am.
People are always happy to tell you where they are from.
There are plenty of new things under the sun. I want to explore all of them.

2. If you want to make good decisions you need good information. It has to be accurate,
comprehensive, and unbiased.
I am a closer. If I start a project I finish it. If I begin a sale, I close it. If I give my word,
I keep it.
I enjoy the company of smart people.
