Numeric Goals and Action Limits
Goals - a single value to strive for, defined by Management
Action Limits - defined by data variation and consistent
(99.7%) with the Normal distribution

Progress Review
Purpose of Progress Review:
“Drive” participants towards achievement
Motivate exceptional performance
To reach agreement on the results expected during the next
review meeting
Effective Reviews:
Conducted on a regular basis - effective reviews are scheduled
Come as you are. Fancy presentations do not add value
Use actual performance data, not opinions or anecdotes
Quantify progress
An open, honest, non-threatening and supportive atmosphere is
maintained
