Methods of Educational Psychology
 Experimental Method:
 The experimental method is one of the most important
and objective methods of psychology.
 Through this method attempts are made to establish
cause and effect relationships through carefully planned
and controlled observation of the subject's behavior.
 It is the experimental method which has made
psychology a science and put it on scientific
 Experimental method is :
o most reliable,
o most valid,
o most systematic,
o most precise and
o most objective method of psychology.
Methods of Educational Psychology
 Co-relational Method:
 Co-relational studies are often used in
educational psychology.
 Researchers use correlations to see if a
relationship between two or more variables
exists, but the variables themselves are not
under the control of the researchers.
Methods of Educational Psychology
 Scientific Method
 Scientific Problem is a systematic approach for
solving problems. It is a fair & unbiased method
of acquiring knowledge.
 Has six basic steps.
i. To Identify a problem
ii. Forming a Hypothesis
iv)Conducting the Experiment / Testing the
Hypothesis
v) Analyzing the Results
vi) Drawing Conclusions

Methods of Educational Psychology  Experimental Method:  The experimental method is one of the most important and objective methods of psychology.  Through this method attempts are made to establish cause and effect relationships through carefully planned and controlled observation of the subject's behavior.  It is the experimental method which has made psychology a science and put it on scientific  Experimental method is : o most reliable, o most valid, o most systematic, o most precise and o most objective method of psychology.
  • 9. Methods of Educational Psychology  Co-relational Method:  Co-relational studies are often used in educational psychology.  Researchers use correlations to see if a relationship between two or more variables exists, but the variables themselves are not under the control of the researchers.
  • 10. Methods of Educational Psychology  Scientific Method  Scientific Problem is a systematic approach for solving problems. It is a fair & unbiased method of acquiring knowledge.  Has six basic steps. i. To Identify a problem ii. Forming a Hypothesis iv)Conducting the Experiment / Testing the Hypothesis v) Analyzing the Results vi) Drawing Conclusions
