ou. Me. Us. Here at Riverwood International Charter School, cultures are
blended, differences are valued, and together, all of the students make up
something truly special. The students refer to themselves as “Raiders,” which
by definition, proves their courage, determination, and hard-working drive. Being a
Raider, students produce one-of-a kind projects, theater productions, artwork,
music, community involvement, sports teams, and much more.
People say the thing that matters the most is the end result. At Riverwood, it's
always something everyone can be proud of. However, with that said, we must not
forget the ingredients that generate that recipe. Each Raider represents a piece of
one large puzzle and without that one piece, Riverwood would not be what it is
today. The glue holding everyone together? The precious symbolism of what it is
to be a part of Raider Nation. It comprises of the rush felt before a pep rally, the
excitement of getting a good grade, and the smile produced when making a new
friend.
Riverwood helps students excel in numerous ways they never thought could be
possible. Some are leaders. Others may be communicators, entertainers,
politicians, thinkers, artists, listeners, mathematicians, chefs, or all-star players. The
list can go on endlessly but what must be remembered in the end is that
Riverwood is what it is because I am, you are, we are, and the Raiders are...
