Pressure is the amount of force exerted per unit area. It is measured in Pascals. Fluids like liquids and gases take the shape of their container and exert equal pressure in all directions. The deeper an object is submerged in a fluid, the greater the pressure it experiences from the fluid above it due to the fluid's weight. Denser fluids exert more pressure. According to Pascal's principle, a change in pressure anywhere in an enclosed fluid is transmitted equally throughout the entire fluid.
