What Is It &
How Is It
Helping Us ?
TEACHING THE
COMPUTER TO SEE THE
WORLD LIKE US
Artificial + Intelligence =
Simulation of Human
Intelligence without a
conscious mind.
 It means making the
machines do what a Human
would.
 SO WHY MAKE MACHINES
DO THE JOB ?
WHY USE AI
 AI can do any number of
tasks repeatedly without
tiring or showing any of the
adverse Human behavior.
 Depending on the AI and its
algorithm, AI learns from its
mistakes and avoids the
same mistakes in the future.
 AI can be trained on sample
data and gains experience
from it to work more
efficiently with less mistakes
in real scenarios

How AI works?
The three primary areas
where AI intends to excel &
focus are:
Learning
Reasoning
Adapting
A good and useful AI would
be the one that is well versed
in the above and can
efficiently mimic these
human traits.

Learning
 AI learns from its mistakes.
 When any AI is being developed, it is
continuously trained on as much data as
possible.
 Training means making the AI run through
providing sample data sets to the AI so it
can effectively differentiate the right from
wrong.
 Even after the AI starts working on the real
Data, it doesn’t stop learning and keeps
honing its decision-making power without
any Human intervention.

Reasoning
When you run a normal Computer program, it doesn’t think about the logic and the
process.Here’swhereAIdifferentiatesitself.
AI is designed to emulate the act of thinking on itself and tries to do the job with
minimalHumanactions.
Once you tell an AI the conclusions that can be generated according to a particular
data set, the AI can process as many data sets as you want it to and generate
accurateconclusionsforyou.
This means that the AI can repeat a process accurately as any number of times once
itknowsthecorrectlogicbehindtheprocess.
ThisisalsoknownasMachineLearning.
Adapting
The AI adapts to the situation to provide the best
possible results.
Depending on the situation, the AI uses different
strategies and processes to deal with it in hopes of
providing better results.

Pattern Recognition
 AI can be effectively used to analyze
the data collected for statistical
purposes.
 Patterns are an important part of
Data Analysis and AI makes the job
way easier by efficiently processing
the data accurately.
Once you teach AI the curves of
human Handwriting, it can easily
tell which letter is what character.
AI is being used in various situations
for this, including assistance of law
enforcing bodies.

Natural Language Processing
 Heard of Siri, Cortana and Alexa?
 Well how do the know what you are saying?
 Artificial Intelligence is the answer.
 Siri takes the audio that comes in through
the microphone and processes it to make
out the different words being said and
understands what you want to do.
 The more you use them, the better they get.
 That’s the power of AI; it learns and keeps improving itself.

Virtual Reality
 Virtual Reality is exactly what it says it is. It’s virtual, but it’s real at
the same time.
 It exists, but in just 0s and 1s of binary.
 Well, that might be changing soon due
to the rise of Quantum Computers, but
the concept still remains the same.
 Right now, creating substantialVirtual
Reality is next to impossible without
Artificial Intelligence.
 For example, inVR games, whenever a person takes any action, it’s
the job of AI to determine what that action means and how it
should be interpreted by the Game engine.
 The necessity of AI in theVR world is due to the Human
interaction. Normal programs cannot understand what Humans
may mean by their actions, but AI comes closer in understanding

Image Processing
AI is not just limited to words and speech to understand what Humans need.
AI is also used in Image Processing, i.e. understanding what the Image is and
what it represents and use the data for other purposes.
A great example of this would be Google Maps. There are too few people who
have Internet and have ever not used this service by Google.
The satellite images that Google has access to are processed by AI with
Machine Learning at regular intervals to observe the changes and update the
Maps accordingly.
This is how Google keeps its maps updates with new roads and other
landmarks.

Automation, as is obvious, as all about making things happen
without human intervention.
AI in Automation has been helping Humans a lot in various fields.
For example, Companies can now send automated invoices to their
customers without have a person overlook the whole process
explicitly.
There are Assistants on your phone now that can do the hard work
for you, you just have to tell what. Siri, Google Assistant, Cortana,
and there are more. They can handle everything from contacting
someone to your Music for you.
Not to forget Cars. Heard aboutTesla’s self-driving Cars or Google’s
similar project yet?
Tesla has already rolled out the feature to its cars whereas it seems
Google is still working on the project.
Automation
 Data Mining refers to the “mining” of information from the given Data.
 It’s not just drawing Graphs and Charts from the Data, but understanding their
implications and drawing conclusions from them.
 An AI easily does this once it’s well trained and is actually better than a groups of
Humans working on the same thing.
 It can analyze and mine way more than Humans at a time and push out results
faster than them too.

Artificial intelligence .. BOON OR Bane?
Artificial intelligence and the technology are one side of the life that always
interest and surprise us with the new ideas, topics, innovations,
products..etc AI is still not implemented as the films representing it(i.e.
Intelligent robots), however there are many important tries to reach the
level and to compete in market, like sometimes the robots that they show
inTV. Nevertheless, the hidden projects and the development in industrial
companies.
AI is something that we still have to come up with an answer for.
We cannot afford to be blinded by the greatest possibilities and overlook its
side effects.

TEACHING THE COMPUTER TO SEE THE WORLD LIKE US Artificial + Intelligence = Simulation of Human Intelligence without a conscious mind.  It means making the machines do what a Human would.  SO WHY MAKE MACHINES DO THE JOB ?
  • 3. WHY USE AI  AI can do any number of tasks repeatedly without tiring or showing any of the adverse Human behavior.  Depending on the AI and its algorithm, AI learns from its mistakes and avoids the same mistakes in the future.  AI can be trained on sample data and gains experience from it to work more efficiently with less mistakes in real scenarios

AI is designed to emulate the act of thinking on itself and tries to do the job with minimalHumanactions. Once you tell an AI the conclusions that can be generated according to a particular data set, the AI can process as many data sets as you want it to and generate accurateconclusionsforyou. It’s virtual, but it’s real at the same time.  It exists, but in just 0s and 1s of binary.  Well, that might be changing soon due to the rise of Quantum Computers, but the concept still remains the same.  Right now, creating substantialVirtual Reality is next to impossible without Artificial Intelligence.  For example, inVR games, whenever a person takes any action, it’s the job of AI to determine what that action means and how it should be interpreted by the Game engine.  The necessity of AI in theVR world is due to the Human interaction. Normal programs cannot understand what Humans may mean by their actions, but AI comes closer in understanding

BOON OR Bane? Artificial intelligence and the technology are one side of the life that always interest and surprise us with the new ideas, topics, innovations, products..etc AI is still not implemented as the films representing it(i.e. Intelligent robots), however there are many important tries to reach the level and to compete in market, like sometimes the robots that they show inTV. Nevertheless, the hidden projects and the development in industrial companies. AI is something that we still have to come up with an answer for. We cannot afford to be blinded by the greatest possibilities and overlook its side effects.
