2. Hope and Wish
The verb hope when something is very possible.
The verb wish about impossible things or things that
are not likely to happen (things that you don't really
expect to happen.)
I hope I can learn English well.
I wish I could speak German, Russian and
Japanese.
We hope you get better soon.
I wish I could travel all over the world for one year.

6. Hope and Wish
Hope: Present and future hopes are expressed by
using present or future verbs or modal auxiliaries
such as can in the dependent clause. Hope goes
together with helping verbs such as will or can or to
be.

Wish: Present and future wishes are expresed by
using would, could, or the simple past tense. (In
formal English, were is used for all forms of of the
verb be. Use of that is optional in these sentences)
Wish goes with helping verbs such as would, could
or past tense forms of other verbs.
