Full time employment after college. During the first three months I was a Public
Area Attendant then transferred to Van Driving. Employee of the month September
2015.
Public Area Attendant -Had daily checklist responsibilities: 3-4 floors to clean
bathrooms main lobby, and basement space. Had monthly special projects assigned
by my housekeeper manager.
Van Driver-Drove the hotel's shuttle within a five mile radius. Maintained the van
to ensure cleanliness for the guests. There are daily side jobs on down time, such as
filling gas up and going to the car wash. During between runs, assisted the
housemen in housekeeping when needed.
Count On Me!- I have been on Team Responsive and Team Safety.
In 2014, I was on Team Responsive. We had to come up with monthly service
activities for the employees.
In 2015, I was on Team Safety. We came up with monthly safety topics and
provided useful tips on a bulletin board.
Intern-Successfully completed two structured programs for course credit.
The two programs helped me gain a lot of experience in the hotel industry and I
learned a lot in each area.
2011-2013
Part time employment while enrolled as a full time student to help cover educational
expenses. Cross trained as Front Desk,Houseman and Housekeeping. Positive
reference from the three Managers.
Front Desk-Serve customer requirements: check in/check out, apply discounts and
vouchers, complete all credit card transactions, responsible for balancing the cash
drawer daily.
Houseman-Set up meeting rooms, maintain cleanliness of stairwells, lobbies, rounds
and trash receptacles. Assist Housekeeping in their duties.
Housekeeping-Perform tasks to ensure compliance with detailed standards for
cleanliness of bedding, bathroom, windows, carpet, floors, and furniture while
meeting company goal of 25-28 minutes per room.
