1. Position Title Interior Assembly Supervisor
Department: Production
Classification: Exempt
Purpose:
To plan, organize, manage and coordinate all functions of interior assembly/manufacturing that supports
the organization’s production goals and objectives as it relates to product, equipment and employees
Essential Duties:
Develop, implement and evaluate standardized interior assembly policies and procedures for new
facility
Manage ~ 80 full time and part time interior assembly staff with responsibility for hiring, training,
scheduling work assignments (including multiple shifts), performance management, discipline and
cross training
Effectively manage interior assembly production schedules, quality and safety processes
Develop and track departmental performance metrics and as applicable take appropriate actions to
ensure goals are achieved and continuously improved
Consistently demonstrate understanding of core interior assembly manufacturing technologies
Interface with employees at all levels of the organization and share information as required
Follow all company policies, procedures and safety rules
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Management preferred
Experience in core interior assembly manufacturing processes
2 years supervisor experience in fast paced manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret interior drawings
Ability to read and interpret dimension by use of tape measure, etc.
Ability to read and interpret basic technical specifications for interior components and design
Ability to use hand tools proficiently such as: drill, tap, screw driver, hacksaw, file, screws, glue
applicator, sealant applicator, utility knife and air tools
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Strong organizational skills
Computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
