Executive Summary (SECTION 1)
Lake Restaurant is a 60 seat fine-dining restaurant with a 20 seat lounge. We
focus on our New American-Swedish menu with a touch of Asian influence. We
will be located in the booming, and rapidly expanding, Balu Nodi, Purbachal,
Dhaka- 1229. Approximately, 3km from 300 feet road. The area is in need of a
warm and friendly place with excellent food. A place where you always know you
will get the best of everything. The lake restaurant will feature a cozy dining room
and an elegant lounge. Comfortable furnishings and decor with soothing warm
tones.
The menu will be inspired from different countries' specialties and appeal to a
diverse clientele. The restaurant will be open seven days a week, we will offer
special theme nights to attract new customers. The service will be relaxed, very
friendly and correct. We will hire the best people available, training, motivating
and encourage them, and thereby retaining the friendliest most efficient staff
possible.
Lake Restaurant is a great place to eat, combining an intriguing atmosphere with
excellent, interesting food. The mission is not only to have great tasting food, but
have efficient and friendly service because customer satisfaction is paramount.
We want to be the restaurant choice for all families and singles, young and old,
male or female. Employee welfare will be equally important to our success.
Everyone will be treated fairly and with the utmost respect. We want our
employees to feel a part of the success of Lake Restaurant Happy employees
make happy guests. We will combine menu variety, atmosphere, ambiance,
special theme nights and a friendly staff to create a sense of 'place' in order to
reach our goal of overall value in the dining/entertainment experience. We want
fair profits for the owners, and a rewarding place to work for the employees.

Company Background (section 2)
Business Type: Restaurant companies are essentially retailers of prepared foods,
and their operating performance is influenced by many of the same factors that
affect traditional retail stores. For the most part, restaurants have business
models that are relatively easy to understand, and the array on the Value Line
page is the same as that of a standard industrial company. Nonetheless, there are
a number of unique factors to consider when making investment decisions
regarding this large and segmented industry.
Mission and vision statement: Our vision is to capture the restaurant business
in Bangladesh & become the highest-ranking restaurant. Our aim is to introduce a
unique style of sea food among the people of Dhaka. In environment where
people can experience both nature and delicacy food. We mainly focus to bring
cuisine of fish of international level. Lake restaurant is a restaurant that
specializes in seafood cuisine and seafood dishes. Dishes may include freshwater fish.
The concept may focus upon the preparation and service of fresh seafood, (as
opposed to frozen products). Our restaurants will have a marine-themed decor,
with decorations such as fish nets, nautical images and buoys. Fare can vary due
to seasonality in fish availability and in the fishing industry. Our restaurants may offer
additional non-seafood items, such as chicken and beef dishes.
Objective/ Goals:

➢ Giving experience on floating restaurant on water surface of sea food .
➢ To give a different level of taste of seafood than the other sea food
restaurant in Dhaka.

management to continue to increase our net margin
➢ To increase client satisfaction, through improved reporting, accuracy,
timeliness and estimates of cost and value, together with a better
understanding of our Client’s needs.
➢ Whilst maintaining our commitment to core water industry customers,
continue to diversify into targeted markets.

Our main business philosophy is to maintain consistent quality of food we will be
serving. “Lake Restaurant” will be only restaurant which will provide sea food
giving the environment of treating themselves over water surface. An exotic
experience to people who would be able to witness live fish is caught according
their desire and cooked. Our price would be cast at low price as possible to allow
people may access our restaurant without any second thought.
Legal Form of ownership: Partnership
We have four partners in our business. Each partner will bring in a unique set of
skills to the business and with a combined effort; we can make our business reach
the acme of success. All four partners of the business will share the profits and
liabilities equally, and be actively involved in decision-making. Each partner will
provide funding for the business, which means we will have more startup capital
and potential for growth. We will share the responsibilities for running the
business. We are going to split the work among four of us, according to our skills
instead of splitting the management and taking an equal share of each business
task.
SWOT Analysis
Strength: Our restaurant will bring the taste of international cuisine of sea food.
We will have highly professional chefs, who will be skilled on producing sea food

taste of international level. We mainly focused on the quality of sea food and also
the environment we shall provide. It will have exotic touch of water view along
with greenery and food that enrich the soul. The live aquarium will shall bring can
be said it the first restaurant in Dhaka that will let our customer choose their
desired fish live and order in their main course.
Weakness: Since this would be our start up business, the location we have
planned to establish our restaurant is a bit far from the core of Dhaka city. So,
targeted customers would be a difficulty to approach.
Opportunity: Since people look for different taste of food and environment, our
restaurant will give the perfect combination of both. In the lap of Dhaka city, it is
rare to find any restaurant, which has a nature touch of restaurant, a peace and
clam environment where people would definitely look for place where they can
come and enjoy the nature along with good food. As per now, seafood is
preferred a lot among people of Dhaka. Our restaurant will be perfect to pay visit.
Threats: Opening a restaurant is although a challenging now in Dhaka. As other
food venture, also providing a good deal of seafood cuisine might be a bit difficult.
As our location is a bit far from the busy city, customers may be reluctant to visit
due to the heavy traffic and consuming. Customers would prefer to go to nearby
restaurants.

Management Team (Section 3)
Kaikobad is the mind behind our business. As he has accounting in major and
HRM as minor, He will be the manager of our restaurant. The will supervise and
coordinate the staff members. He will assist day to day operating of the Human
Resource functions and duties from process documentation and prepare reports
relating to personnel activates (staffing, recruitment, training grievances,
performance, evaluation, etc ).
Jahirul Islam he has accounting and finance as his major so will enhance financial
decision making information by collecting data, analyzing, investigating and
reporting financial data, for example – preparing balance sheets, income
statements, products budgets. He would calculate break-Even point, Profit and
loss of the business.
Bushra Hayet Onisha has both HRM and Finance as her major so is a versatile,
focused and motivated individual whose vision of success id to rise above the
competition in every way and continue. She will be the operating in charge of the
restaurant.

Bushra Rahman Badhon is the marketing officer would brainstorm ideas from
how to promote our restaurant, advertise it and do all the marketing plans
strategies and decisions. She would also look after the customers preference and
demand of our food and what our customers requirements and also their
recommendation.

Service Description (Section 4)
About Our Restaurant
We will be operating business where our concern is to let our customers
experience exotic taste of fish, which our restaurant itself will preserve fishes in
aquarium. Since, our start up business we will buy fishes from local fish firms or
make contract with them to purchase our fishes at regular intervals. As our
location is over water body of 5000 square meter, we have arrangements of our
private boats to cross the water figure from parking lot to our venue. Therefore,
our restaurant can be considered as only venture in Bangladesh where the venue
is located over the water surface and people can enjoy the seafood on the
floating restaurant.
Place
Our restaurant have been projected in a place, the location is the water body
of Balu Nodi, Purbachal, Dhaka- 1229. Approximately, 3km from 300 feet road.

We will provide different and an unique taste cuisine of fish which will be chosen
by customers at live from the man-made aquarium as per their desire , in totally
different atmosphere in the lap of water body and also distant view of greenery.
There is an arrangement of car parking which can accommodate 50 cars.The

Bangladesh is one of the most thickly populated countries in the world. Having a

The technological environment of Bangladesh is advancing everyday as the
government itself is playing a vital role in digitalizing Bangladesh.

Although Bangladesh is a very small country, it has enough potential to keep a

new products or new features of existing products. Our Restaurant
business is open a new venture, so we are decided to the Informative
advertising from four advertising objectives. Our advertising massage is
our food quality is better than other restaurants‟ food quality and we
are based on customer satisfy.
Advertising media: Media choosing is the most effective for “Lake
Restaurant” is to choose the advertising media, which are the advertising
outlets, including newspapers, television, direct mail, radio, magazines,
newsletters, brochures, telephone, internet, billboards and outdoor
displays.
1. Newspapers:
Newspaper advertising is flexibility, timelines, good local market
coverage, broad acceptance and high believability. Newspapers allow
us to reach audiences from small local communities to national
readerships in the millions. So newspaper is the best media for our
“Lake Restaurant”. The newspaper that will be used for “Lake
Restaurant” are Daily Prothom Alo, The Daily Star, the Daily Jugantor,

the Television Media is very expensive but if we calculate the reach of
the message, then the cost will be lower for per person. Lake
Restaurant will mainly broadcast its advertising within the cooking
programs, sponsor to the TV films, drama, sports programs, music
programs, news programs. “” Restaurant will use, Ntv, ATN Bangla, ETV,
RTV, Chanel I, and Boyshakhi TV Chanel.

Magazine has high geographic and demographic selectivity, credibility
and prestige, high-quality reproduction, long life, and good pass-along
relationship. In these cases the Lake Restaurant will use Magazines as

Lake Restaurant will be completely unique an restaurant of Bangladesh. We have
focused on our menus with and different touch . The menu will be developed and
promote the menu every six months, but it is promised to keep 'the favorite.‟
Prices will be competitive with other upscale in the area. The main purpose of

Restaurant” is to have a unique experience in food . However, it is the strategy of
“Lake Restaurant” to give a perception of higher value than its competitors, through
its food and services. Most important matter of “Lake Restaurant” is the financial

  • 2. 2 Executive Summary (SECTION 1) Lake Restaurant is a 60 seat fine-dining restaurant with a 20 seat lounge. We focus on our New American-Swedish menu with a touch of Asian influence. We will be located in the booming, and rapidly expanding, Balu Nodi, Purbachal, Dhaka- 1229. Approximately, 3km from 300 feet road. The area is in need of a warm and friendly place with excellent food. A place where you always know you will get the best of everything. The lake restaurant will feature a cozy dining room and an elegant lounge. Comfortable furnishings and decor with soothing warm tones. The menu will be inspired from different countries' specialties and appeal to a diverse clientele. The restaurant will be open seven days a week, we will offer special theme nights to attract new customers. The service will be relaxed, very friendly and correct. We will hire the best people available, training, motivating and encourage them, and thereby retaining the friendliest most efficient staff possible. Lake Restaurant is a great place to eat, combining an intriguing atmosphere with excellent, interesting food. The mission is not only to have great tasting food, but have efficient and friendly service because customer satisfaction is paramount. We want to be the restaurant choice for all families and singles, young and old, male or female. Employee welfare will be equally important to our success. Everyone will be treated fairly and with the utmost respect. We want our employees to feel a part of the success of Lake Restaurant Happy employees make happy guests. We will combine menu variety, atmosphere, ambiance, special theme nights and a friendly staff to create a sense of 'place' in order to reach our goal of overall value in the dining/entertainment experience. We want fair profits for the owners, and a rewarding place to work for the employees.
  • 3. 3 Company Background (section 2) Business Type: Restaurant companies are essentially retailers of prepared foods, and their operating performance is influenced by many of the same factors that affect traditional retail stores. For the most part, restaurants have business models that are relatively easy to understand, and the array on the Value Line page is the same as that of a standard industrial company. Nonetheless, there are a number of unique factors to consider when making investment decisions regarding this large and segmented industry. Mission and vision statement: Our vision is to capture the restaurant business in Bangladesh & become the highest-ranking restaurant. Our aim is to introduce a unique style of sea food among the people of Dhaka. In environment where people can experience both nature and delicacy food. We mainly focus to bring cuisine of fish of international level. Lake restaurant is a restaurant that specializes in seafood cuisine and seafood dishes. Dishes may include freshwater fish. The concept may focus upon the preparation and service of fresh seafood, (as opposed to frozen products). Our restaurants will have a marine-themed decor, with decorations such as fish nets, nautical images and buoys. Fare can vary due to seasonality in fish availability and in the fishing industry. Our restaurants may offer additional non-seafood items, such as chicken and beef dishes. Objective/ Goals: ➢ To provide fresh sea food at minimal cost. ➢ Offer sea food that enhances the taste bud. ➢ Giving experience on floating restaurant on water surface of sea food . ➢ To give a different level of taste of seafood than the other sea food restaurant in Dhaka. ➢ To continue our strategy of controlled growth and through improved management to continue to increase our net margin ➢ To increase client satisfaction, through improved reporting, accuracy, timeliness and estimates of cost and value, together with a better understanding of our Client’s needs. ➢ Whilst maintaining our commitment to core water industry customers, continue to diversify into targeted markets. ➢ To learn how to formulate an effective Business Plan.

An exotic experience to people who would be able to witness live fish is caught according their desire and cooked. Our price would be cast at low price as possible to allow people may access our restaurant without any second thought. Legal Form of ownership: Partnership We have four partners in our business. Each partner will bring in a unique set of skills to the business and with a combined effort; we can make our business reach the acme of success. All four partners of the business will share the profits and liabilities equally, and be actively involved in decision-making. Each partner will provide funding for the business, which means we will have more startup capital and potential for growth. We will share the responsibilities for running the business. We are going to split the work among four of us, according to our skills instead of splitting the management and taking an equal share of each business task. SWOT Analysis Strength: Our restaurant will bring the taste of international cuisine of sea food. We will have highly professional chefs, who will be skilled on producing sea food

It will have exotic touch of water view along with greenery and food that enrich the soul. The live aquarium will shall bring can be said it the first restaurant in Dhaka that will let our customer choose their desired fish live and order in their main course. Weakness: Since this would be our start up business, the location we have planned to establish our restaurant is a bit far from the core of Dhaka city. So, targeted customers would be a difficulty to approach. Opportunity: Since people look for different taste of food and environment, our restaurant will give the perfect combination of both. In the lap of Dhaka city, it is rare to find any restaurant, which has a nature touch of restaurant, a peace and clam environment where people would definitely look for place where they can come and enjoy the nature along with good food. As per now, seafood is preferred a lot among people of Dhaka. Our restaurant will be perfect to pay visit. Threats: Opening a restaurant is although a challenging now in Dhaka. As other food venture, also providing a good deal of seafood cuisine might be a bit difficult.
