In today’s VUCA state of Corporate world to stay relevant and highly competitive in the industry, it is extremely important to focus on the learning and development of your critical employees. However, for effective learning to take place, having an high-impact learning culture at your organization is crucial. With MOOC's the actual completion rate(CR) is roughly around 6%, where as organizations who have adapted eLearning says CR of 20% is the highest.. So how do we solve it?

A quick look at the learning taking place at Sarah A Reed Children's Center Summer 2020 Reading & Math Program, due to our support through Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program and the donors who contributed through this program.We moved forward faster than most because we were enhancing the program over the last three years and were better prepared to react when the world was impacted by COVID-19 and we moved into the Summer Program quite seamlessly.

On April 30, 2015 Project Tomorrow released the report “Digital Learning 24/7: Understanding Technology – Enhanced Learning in the Lives of Today’s Students” at a Congressional Briefing held in Washington, DC and online in a special live stream of the event. Julie Evans, Project Tomorrow CEO, discussed selected student national findings from the Speak Up 2014 report and moderated a panel discussion with students who shared their insights and experiences with digital learning.

This session reflects two University initiatives, giving participants the chance to discuss how digital and information literacies and skills of our students can be integrated widely into a programme-level curriculum. Tom Clark (Sociological Studies) will reflect on a University-funded ‘Inside Knowledge’ project that utilised Killen and Chatterton’s 2015 model of staff-student partnership to map levels of digital literacy within a sociology programme. It will explain how the seven key areas of digital literacy proposed by Jisc to create a measurement tool to assess the digital curricula, before exploring how this resonated with students’ expectations, experience and capabilities of the programme. Vicky Grant (Library) will present an initiative by the University Library, in partnership with staff and student stakeholders, to develop a model, framework and offer for Information and Digital Literacy (IDL) at the University of Sheffield.

On June 17, 2015, the National Coalition for Technology in Education and Training (NCTET) and the Education and Technology and Telecommunications Taskforces of the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities hosted Seizing Opportunity in the Digital Age: The Intersection of Technology and Special Education, a special event to discuss the intersection of technology and special education. Moderator Alexa Posny (former Assistant Secretary for the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services) discussed how special education teachers have led the way for technology innovation, and Project Tomorrow CEO Julie Evans provided Speak Up 2014 data, focusing on 4,475 special education teachers’ thoughts on digital learning. Featured educator panelists Kate Nagle (The Ivy Mount School, Rockville, MD), Caroline Hill (E.L. Haynes High School, Washington, D.C.), and Angela Foreman (Jamestown Elementary School, Arlington, VA) gave insight into how their schools and classrooms have used technology to advance special education and benefit students with disabilities. This event was made possible by NCTET and the Education and Technology and Telecommunications Taskforces of the Consortium for Citizens, with the live stream provided by Discovery Education.

The recently published educational policy document under the title ‘National Education Policy Reform’ (NEPF for short) has been the subject of much criticism. Various parties have expressed their grave concerns about this proposed NEPF on many platforms. This document attempts to cover some angles which the author deems less covered in other criticisms.
