ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
[Meaning And Introduction]
▰ Artificial intelligence (AI) broadly refers to any human-like behavior
displayed by a machine or system. In AI’s most basic form, computers
are programmed to “mimic” human behavior using extensive data from
past examples of similar behavior. This can range from recognizing
differences between a cat and a bird to performing complex activities
in a manufacturing facility.
▰ Whether you are talking about deep learning, strategic thinking, or
another species of AI, the foundation of its use is in situations that
require lightning-fast responses. With AI, machines can work
efficiently and analyze vast amounts of data in the blink of an eye,
solving problems through supervised, unsupervised, or reinforced
learning.
APPLICATIONS OF AI (ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE)
▰ Speech Recognition: It is also known as automatic speech recognition
(ASR), computer speech recognition, or speech-to-text, and it is a
capability which uses natural language processing (NLP) to process human
speech into a written format. Many mobile devices incorporate speech
recognition into their systems to conduct voice search—e.g. Siri—or
provide more accessibility around texting.
▰ Customer Service: Online chatbots are replacing human agents along the
customer journey. They answer frequently asked questions (FAQs) around
topics, like shipping, or provide personalized advice, cross-selling product
or suggesting sizes for users, changing the way we think about customer
engagement across websites and social media platforms. Examples include
messaging bots on e-commerce sites with virtual agents, messaging apps,
such as Slack and Facebook Messenger, and tasks usually done by virtual
assistants and voice assistants.
CONTINUE….
▰ Computer Vision: This AI technology enables computers and systems
to derive meaningful information from digital images, videos and other
visual inputs, and based on those inputs, it can take action. This ability
to provide recommendations distinguishes it from image recognition
tasks. Powered by convolutional neural networks, computer vision has
applications within photo tagging in social media, radiology imaging in
healthcare, and self-driving cars within the automotive industry.
▰ Recommendation Engines: Using past consumption behavior data, AI
algorithms can help to discover data trends that can be used to develop
more effective cross-selling strategies. This is used to make relevant
add-on recommendations to customers during the checkout process for
online retailers.
AREAS OF AI (ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE)
AI in Robotics:
This is where the techniques of open programming have been used more
emphatically and is the field where AI has had its greatest evolution by
combining several of these techniques. Such techniques include the
recognition of patterns to detection of objects or situations to exercise
some movement and to learn the environments in which it is intended.
AI in Information Management:
This area of AI has had a recognized evolution in recent years,
promoting environments for the information process and, in a relevant
manner, in what is called Big Data, an environment that is part of the
third platform in the field of information technology. As an instrument,
data processing stands out, although it began its development more than
three decades ago.
CONTINUE..
AI in Natural Language Processing:
One of the areas where AI has played an important role is in
the construction of systems capable of recognizing,
processing and emulating human language. Nowadays there
are a good number of these systems based on recognition of
textual and auditory patterns for translation of languages and
learning machines.
AI in education:
Researchers and developers pay attention to the application of
AI in education. The machine is intended to learn the state of
knowledge of the student, to guide him/her and propose a new
EXAMPLES OF AI (ARTICIAL
INTELLEGENCE)
1. Google Maps and Ride-Hailing Applications:Travelling to a new
destination does not require much thought any longer. Rather than
relying on confusing address directions, we can now easily open our
phone's map app and type in our destination.
2. Face Detection and Recognition:Utilizing face ID for unlocking our
phones and using virtual filters on our faces while taking pictures are
two uses of AI that are presently essential for our day-by-day lives.
3. Chatbots:Answering a customer's inquiries can take a long time. The
use of algorithms to train machines to meet customer needs through
chatbots is an artificially intelligent solution to this problem. This allows
machines to answer as well as take and track orders.
CONTINUE..
4.Online-Payments: It can be a time-consuming errand to rush to the
bank for any transaction. Good news! Artificial Intelligence is now
being used by banks to support customers by simplifying the process of
payment.
5.Digital Assistants: When our hands are full, we often enlist the help
of digital assistants to complete tasks on our behalf. We might ask the
assistant to call our father while we are driving with a cup of tea in one
hand. For instance, Siri would look at our contacts, recognize the word
"father," and dial the number.
6.Smart Speakers: Not in vain, many thinks that smart speakers are
good to go for a major blast in technology. Besides controlling smart
home gadgets, they are likewise capable of various things like sending
fast messages, setting updates, checking the climate, and getting the
most recent news.
ADVANTAGES AND
DISADVANTAGES
*ADVANTAGES
1.Reduction in Human Error:The phrase “human error” was born
because humans make mistakes from time to time. Computers, however, do not make
these mistakes if they are programmed properly. With Artificial intelligence, the
decisions are taken from the previously gathered information applying a certain set of
algorithms. So errors are reduced and the chance of reaching accuracy with a greater
degree of precision is a possibility.
2.Takes risks instead of Humans:This is one of the biggest advantages
of Artificial intelligence. We can overcome many risky limitations of humans by
developing an AI Robot which in turn can do the risky things for us. Let it be going to
mars, defuse a bomb, explore the deepest parts of oceans, mining for coal and oil, it
can be used effectively in any kind of natural or man-made disasters.
CONTINUE..
3.Available 24x7:An Average human will work for 4–6 hours a day excluding
the breaks. Humans are built in such a way to get some time out for refreshing
themselves and get ready for a new day of work and they even have weekly offed to
stay intact with their work-life and personal life. But using AI we can make machines
work 24x7 without any breaks and they don’t even get bored, unlike humans.
4.Faster Decisions:Using AI alongside other technologies we can make
machines take decisions faster than a human and carry out actions quicker. While
taking a decision human will analyze many factors both emotionally and practically but
AI-powered machine works on what it is programmed and delivers the results in a
faster way.
5.New Inventions:AI is powering many inventions in almost every
domain which will help humans solve the majority of complex
problems.
CONTINUE..
*DISADVANTAGES:
1. High Costs of Creation:As AI is updating every day the hardware
and software need to get updated with time to meet the latest
requirements. Machines need repairing and maintenance which need
plenty of costs. It’ s creation requires huge costs as they are very
complex machines.
2.Making Humans Lazy:AI is making humans lazy with its
applications automating the majority of the work. Humans
tend to get addicted to these inventions which can cause a
problem to future generations.
CONTINUE..
3. Unemployment:As AI is replacing the majority of the repetitive
tasks and other works with robots, human interference is becoming less
which will cause a major problem in the employment standards. Every
organization is looking to replace the minimum qualified individuals
with AI robots which can do similar work with more efficiency.
4.No Emotions:There is no doubt that machines are much better when it
comes to working efficiently but they cannot replace the human
connection that makes the team. Machines cannot develop a bond with
humans which is an essential attribute when comes to Team
Management.
5.Lacking Out of Box Thinking:Machines can perform only those
tasks which they are designed or programmed to do, anything out of that
they tend to crash or give irrelevant outputs which could be a major

  • 4. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE [Meaning And Introduction] ▰ Artificial intelligence (AI) broadly refers to any human-like behavior displayed by a machine or system. In AI’s most basic form, computers are programmed to “mimic” human behavior using extensive data from past examples of similar behavior. This can range from recognizing differences between a cat and a bird to performing complex activities in a manufacturing facility. ▰ Whether you are talking about deep learning, strategic thinking, or another species of AI, the foundation of its use is in situations that require lightning-fast responses. With AI, machines can work efficiently and analyze vast amounts of data in the blink of an eye, solving problems through supervised, unsupervised, or reinforced learning.
  • 5. APPLICATIONS OF AI (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) ▰ Speech Recognition: It is also known as automatic speech recognition (ASR), computer speech recognition, or speech-to-text, and it is a capability which uses natural language processing (NLP) to process human speech into a written format. Many mobile devices incorporate speech recognition into their systems to conduct voice search—e.g. Siri—or provide more accessibility around texting. ▰ Customer Service: Online chatbots are replacing human agents along the customer journey. They answer frequently asked questions (FAQs) around topics, like shipping, or provide personalized advice, cross-selling product or suggesting sizes for users, changing the way we think about customer engagement across websites and social media platforms. Examples include messaging bots on e-commerce sites with virtual agents, messaging apps, such as Slack and Facebook Messenger, and tasks usually done by virtual assistants and voice assistants.
  • 6. CONTINUE…. ▰ Computer Vision: This AI technology enables computers and systems to derive meaningful information from digital images, videos and other visual inputs, and based on those inputs, it can take action. This ability to provide recommendations distinguishes it from image recognition tasks. Powered by convolutional neural networks, computer vision has applications within photo tagging in social media, radiology imaging in healthcare, and self-driving cars within the automotive industry. ▰ Recommendation Engines: Using past consumption behavior data, AI algorithms can help to discover data trends that can be used to develop more effective cross-selling strategies. This is used to make relevant add-on recommendations to customers during the checkout process for online retailers.
  • 7. AREAS OF AI (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) AI in Robotics: This is where the techniques of open programming have been used more emphatically and is the field where AI has had its greatest evolution by combining several of these techniques. Such techniques include the recognition of patterns to detection of objects or situations to exercise some movement and to learn the environments in which it is intended. AI in Information Management: This area of AI has had a recognized evolution in recent years, promoting environments for the information process and, in a relevant manner, in what is called Big Data, an environment that is part of the third platform in the field of information technology. As an instrument, data processing stands out, although it began its development more than three decades ago.

AI in Natural Language Processing: One of the areas where AI has played an important role is in the construction of systems capable of recognizing, processing and emulating human language. Nowadays there are a good number of these systems based on recognition of textual and auditory patterns for translation of languages and learning machines. AI in education: Researchers and developers pay attention to the application of AI in education. The machine is intended to learn the state of knowledge of the student, to guide him/her and propose a new
  • 9. EXAMPLES OF AI (ARTICIAL INTELLEGENCE) 1. Google Maps and Ride-Hailing Applications:Travelling to a new destination does not require much thought any longer. Rather than relying on confusing address directions, we can now easily open our phone's map app and type in our destination. 2. Face Detection and Recognition:Utilizing face ID for unlocking our phones and using virtual filters on our faces while taking pictures are two uses of AI that are presently essential for our day-by-day lives. 3. Chatbots:Answering a customer's inquiries can take a long time. The use of algorithms to train machines to meet customer needs through chatbots is an artificially intelligent solution to this problem. This allows machines to answer as well as take and track orders.

Artificial Intelligence is now being used by banks to support customers by simplifying the process of payment. 5.Digital Assistants: When our hands are full, we often enlist the help of digital assistants to complete tasks on our behalf. We might ask the assistant to call our father while we are driving with a cup of tea in one hand. For instance, Siri would look at our contacts, recognize the word "father," and dial the number. 6.Smart Speakers: Not in vain, many thinks that smart speakers are good to go for a major blast in technology. Besides controlling smart home gadgets, they are likewise capable of various things like sending fast messages, setting updates, checking the climate, and getting the most recent news.
  • 11. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES *ADVANTAGES 1.Reduction in Human Error:The phrase “human error” was born because humans make mistakes from time to time. Computers, however, do not make these mistakes if they are programmed properly. With Artificial intelligence, the decisions are taken from the previously gathered information applying a certain set of algorithms. So errors are reduced and the chance of reaching accuracy with a greater degree of precision is a possibility. 2.Takes risks instead of Humans:This is one of the biggest advantages of Artificial intelligence. We can overcome many risky limitations of humans by developing an AI Robot which in turn can do the risky things for us. Let it be going to mars, defuse a bomb, explore the deepest parts of oceans, mining for coal and oil, it can be used effectively in any kind of natural or man-made disasters.

Humans are built in such a way to get some time out for refreshing themselves and get ready for a new day of work and they even have weekly offed to stay intact with their work-life and personal life. But using AI we can make machines work 24x7 without any breaks and they don’t even get bored, unlike humans. 4.Faster Decisions:Using AI alongside other technologies we can make machines take decisions faster than a human and carry out actions quicker. While taking a decision human will analyze many factors both emotionally and practically but AI-powered machine works on what it is programmed and delivers the results in a faster way. 5.New Inventions:AI is powering many inventions in almost every domain which will help humans solve the majority of complex problems.
  • 13. CONTINUE.. *DISADVANTAGES: 1. High Costs of Creation:As AI is updating every day the hardware and software need to get updated with time to meet the latest requirements. Machines need repairing and maintenance which need plenty of costs. It’ s creation requires huge costs as they are very complex machines. 2.Making Humans Lazy:AI is making humans lazy with its applications automating the majority of the work. Humans tend to get addicted to these inventions which can cause a problem to future generations.
  • 14. CONTINUE.. 3. Unemployment:As AI is replacing the majority of the repetitive tasks and other works with robots, human interference is becoming less which will cause a major problem in the employment standards. Every organization is looking to replace the minimum qualified individuals with AI robots which can do similar work with more efficiency. 4.No Emotions:There is no doubt that machines are much better when it comes to working efficiently but they cannot replace the human connection that makes the team. Machines cannot develop a bond with humans which is an essential attribute when comes to Team Management. 5.Lacking Out of Box Thinking:Machines can perform only those tasks which they are designed or programmed to do, anything out of that they tend to crash or give irrelevant outputs which could be a major
