The Black Country’s ‘HVM City’ is the development programme
driving the advancement of the world-class design, manufacturing
and engineering opportunities in the Black Country.
HVM City will add over £1 billon to the economy, bring forward over
150 hectares of land for advanced manufacturing and create over
25,000 jobs. HVM City will create the perfect economic conditions
for advanced manufacturers to thrive; through investment in world
leading people, businesses and places.
More than 45,000 new homes will be built in the Black Country
Garden City in what will be one of Britain’s biggest ever brownfield
site regenerations, covering more than 1,500 hectares. The
development is being led by the Black Country LEP and the
Homes and Communities Agency, with the support of the
Department for Communities and Local Government.

Significant investment has landed in the Black Country’s strategic
centres in recent years, including £450m in West Bromwich town
centre and £390m in Walsall town centre, helping the region to
realise its ambitious plans for growth. Now, with £992m
investment either planned or underway in Wolverhampton city
centre, 300,000 sq m of commercial opportunities in Brierley Hill
and a plethora of further commercial and residential opportunities
across the Black Country’s town and city centres, it’s all change in
the Black Country.
TODAY...
Regeneration in Dudley has been delivered at a pace with
£180m of investment in recent years transforming derelict
and underused land and a further £500m of regeneration
activity is planned for the next 5 years. A priority is
securing tenants for a number of opportunities totalling
18,000sqm of vacant Waterfront office in the proposed
Brierley Hill Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone.
Opportunities to lease up to 24,000sqm of commercial
