What does it entail?

                       Coming up with a
                       course design
                        is a dynamic mix of
                       juggling and
                       Doing jigsaw puzzles.
What are the pieces to fit?

Ordering: Criteria for prioritizing.

         Time
One criterion that we may use it to “WHEN” the target events are needed
             Building block
by learners. For example, at JUST, writing laboratory reports is moved
from the last 2 weeks of semester to the seventh or eighth week.

The idea of a building block is that using or learning a certain language

         Building confidence
skills is dependent or others. Before learning “A” what will be needed? For
instance: teaching passive requires students to be already familiar with to
                                             be.
Refer to p. 166
Identifying skill areas
• The next step is to break down target events and rhetorical
awareness to skill areas to language.
