This document summarizes various promotions and discounts occurring at major retailers in Romania during December 2015 and January 2016, including: - MasterCard users having a chance to win prizes by shopping at Carrefour between December 17, 2015 and January 17, 2016. - Retailers like Carrefour, Kaufland, and Hervis lowering prices of non-food items ahead of the VAT decrease on January 1, 2016. - Promotions at Mega Image, Cora, Penny, Flanco, and Selgros offering customers discounts, vouchers, and chances to win prizes through New Years.

 Between the 17th of December and 17th of
January 2016 all customers that choose to
pay with their MasterCard in all Carrefour
shops are automaticaly eligible to win
extraordinary prizes!
 This promotion is only available in Romania in
order to encourage shoppers to pay with their
cards.
 All prizes have a cumulated value of 68,850
LEI. Prizes include 15 Mini Ipads, 3
MacBooks and 1 OLED FHD Smart TV!

3. December 2015
 Carrefour is discounting their prices for non-food
products to mirror the lower VAT value that is to
be introduced in Romania from the 1st of January
2016.
 All customers will be already paying for non-food
products 20% rather than 24% VAT as soon as
27th of December!
 This concession will only apply for products that
are not already discounted in other promotional
operations such as promotional catalogs, where
the discount is already applied on the displayed
price.

4. December 2015
 Mega Image launches a new campaign in
partnership with MasterCard. All customers
that will shop with Mega Image (and affiliates)
paying with their MasterCard throughout 14th
December 2015 until 31st of January can win
prizes worth up to 80,000 euros.
 To encourage card payments, there is no
minimum spend and all MasterCard users are
eligible, regrdless of whom they bank with.
Also, the participating store include Shop&Go,
ABCool Food as well as Gusturi Romanesti.
 The greatest prize is an apartment worth
60,000 euros! There are also 10 Mega Image
pre-paid cards each coming with 2,000 euros
credit.

 Mega Image is promoting
Christmas Hampers, the perfect
gifts that one cannot go wrong
with. You can choose to
purchase as many as you like,
wether you buy them in store or
online through Emag.
 Prices vary from 99 LEI up to
more expensive selections
reaching 419 LEI.

6. December 2015
 Kaufland too launches a promotion where all non-food products prices are already
reduced from the 16th of December to mirror the 20% VAT due to be implemented from
1st of January 2016.
 Kaufland will decrease their prices for alcoholic beverages, detergents,cleaning products,
cosmetics and other non food products.
 To support the new decision
to lessen the VAT tax for non-
food products in Romania
starting on 1st of January, yet
another retailer is minimizing
its prices starting in
December to mirror the new
VAT tax.

7. December 2015
 Selgros is again promoting Christmas Hampers this December, in a very large variety!
 Pricewise you can find it all, as shown above, from 19,99 LEI to more luxurious hampers
reaching 279,90 LEI. These make great gifts, Selgros’s customers knew what to expect from
this retailer this December and were not wrong to hope for the best!

8. December 2015
 Cora is rewarding its customers this December!
Apart from great reductions in price for several
types of products such as detergents or sour
cream with -20%, Cora is allowing customers to
leave with a voucher of 20 LEI upon spending
150 LEI.
 Only specific products qualify and it is only
available for those who own a Cora Fidelity Card.
Of course, there are many others benefits for
such loyal clientele but this month, Cora clients
will surely come back spending their Cora 20 LEI
voucher.
 The availability of the voucher lasts for three
weeks and it can be used right the next day after
having received it.

9. December 2015
 Penny is surprising its
customers this December by
sendin them to France! This, of
course, in Paris and only if they
purchase the national footbal
equipment on sale in Penny
stores.
 Starting on the 9th of December 2015 and ending on the 2nd of February 2016, this exciting
promotion is asking from Penny customers to register the code received when buying the
participating products on a website. Thereafter, they will qualify to win the exciting trip to
Paris and see our national footbal team beat France’s!

10. December 2015
 From the 23rd until the 31st of
December 2015 Flanco is
offering a 10% voucher of the
value of whichever product
customers buy online and pick-
up in store.
 It is a great offer for customers
as it guarantees a positive
answer for two important
questions when buying
Christmas gifts: ”Will I get a
discount?” and “Will I get my
product in time?”.
 Customers can use the voucher (worth a value of 10% of the product bought in
December) from the 1st until the 9th of January.

 Hervis is too supporting the changes
that will affect the VAT from the 1st of
January 2016.
 Products have been displayed with
both prices, the 20% or 24% VAT.
Starting on the 10th of December,
Hervis is not only the first retailer to
promote the decreased VAT, but it
also is the only retailer strictly focused
on sportwear to do it. This just in time
for Hervis customers that prefer winter
sports to go ahead and enjoy new
equipment to make their long awaited
holiday even better!
