8. DEFINITION OF THE PROBLEM
From the beginning of the human story, music has always
became an important communication tool. Thus, it is
lucid to say that we have music in the roots of
communication in a society.
Music is a language that everyone can hear and speak or
at least feel. This makes it universal and that’s why it is
one the most important communication tool.
What about musicians place and importance regarding with
this communciation?
If we see the musician as a facilitator of this
communication, what would happen if a conflict appears
between community and musicians?
11. COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT
• What is copyright infringement?
• How does it causes a conflict between
community and musicians?
12. COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT
It is one of the most important conflict between
community and artist from all kinds of art.
Because it is not only about permission, it also
effects artists’ income.
13. COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT
Copyright infringement is the use of works
protected by copyright law without permission,
infringing certain exclusive rights granted to the
copyright holder, such as the right to reproduce,
distribute, display or perform the protected
work, or to make derivative works
14. COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT
Sharing music is a nice attitude.
In general, people like to see the approval of their
preferences around their environment.
If one likes a song or an art piece, he likes to hear
or see it around.
This might encourages him to share music illegally.
You are maybe going to let someone to learn about
some new music, maybe a new style or maybe a
piece that is going to help him to find peace.
15. CONFLICT WITH COPYRIGHT ISSUE
People apreciate nice music, but they forgot the
fact that it is also a production of musicians who are
doing this as a profession.
They do it for a living.
If we share their music irresponsibly How can a
musician feed his family without any income from
his work?

listen to an artist?

Yet, there is no change in free full preview.
18. CONFLICT WITH COPYRIGHT ISSUE
I'm not anti-filesharing. It can be a great way of online communities
discovering new music. It's hardly some terrible crime anyway in my
opinion, and I'm certainly never gonna sue anybody! (I'll leave that to
Metallica.) That's why on my latest album there's no threatening
copyright notice, just the phrase "Please share my music
responsibly".
What that means is: It's up to you! The ball is in your court. I trust
you.
My advice is this: If you share my music with your friends, with your
family, or even with an online music community you're a part of:
that makes me happy and grateful. If you upload my full album to
Youtube, Usenet or a BitTorrent site so anybody in the world can take
it for free: that potentially leaves me broke and sad.
As with many artists/bands, you can already listen to all my music for
free on my website.

companies.
She says listeners don’t want to pay for companies,
they want to pay for music.

Gazali, one of the prominent enlightened of Islam,
states that there is no evidence to prohibit music
besides styles that canalize people to immoral acts
and adds that the statue of it, related with whether it
is wrong or halal, may change according to time
and place.
21. CULTURAL DIFFERENCES AND IDENTITIY
Music style and public opinion conflict
A music style may not fit into a society, although it is
very normal for another one.
Recently in Turkey, the government cut the
budget support for Ankara Jazz Festival( the
only jazz festival in Turkey) by stating that the
jazz music is not belong to our culture.
