The victim is heard making a
gagging type of sound which
connotes to the audience that he
is desperate in some way.
Therefore this makes the death
more dramatic and forces the
audience to feel sympathetic
towards him as it reveals how
much pain he is.
The dialogue we hear from the criminal is “Die, die!” which
reveals that he is fixated and has one objective and wont
stop until he kills him.
The jook sound of the knife
entering the body several times
conveys the actors violent
gestures as he is stabbing him so
many times.
This shot has low key lighting which connotes the character
is performing dark acts.
A high angle shot is used in this moment to convey the
criminal is the superior of the two because he is higher.
