The requirements for information access and sharing have
changed significantly over the last 10 years
Over the next two years, the current broadband network for
the health sector (N3) will be replaced by network
arrangements that support health and social care.
The HSCN will lay the foundations for the integration of
health and social care services

• Incentivise collaboration between health and social care organisations
• Incentivise timely migration to HSCN
Customer compliance
Intending to decouple requirements and approval to connect to the network
from the broader Information Governance regime.
• Intend to introduce a Connection Agreement in place of IGSoC
