The document discusses how love is the main course in life. It states that faith and hope will endure all things but love is most important. It refers to love as a connection to things above and below, imagined and known, past and present. Love is described as a collection of principles, insights, stories, and ideas both remembered and forgotten. It is called a confession for past mistakes and missed opportunities but says the future is unknown and we should keep moving forward, living and learning from each moment.
1. Faith and Hope must Always Remain but The Main Course is Love
The Main Course
Walk Straight – Act Right – Tell the Truth
The
Main Course
Compassionate
Solutions
THIS HOPE OF LOVE
WILL NOT FADE
OR COME TO AN END
BUT WILL ENDURE
ALL THINGS
WITHOUT FAILING
SO FAITH HOPE AND
LOVE REMAIN
BUT THE MAIN COURSE
IS LOVE
The Main Course is my connection. To things above and things below. To things
imagined and things I know. To things yours and things mine. To things forever
and things left behind.
The Main Course is my collection. Of principles and observations. Of insights and
revelations. Of stories and songs. Of right turns and wrong. Of ideas and thoughts.
Of things I believe and things I forgot.
The Main Course is my confession. For words left unspoken. For songs left unsung.
For the promises broken and deeds left undone. For all the time I wasted on my
long journey home.
A wise man once said that there is nothing new under the sun. What is lost has
been found and what is to come has already been. So let’s keep pressing on.
This is where we live and learn. This
is where we become who we will
become. This is where we tell our
story. This is where we sing our song.
This is where we find forgiveness.
This is where we all belong. This is
where we seek the truth and find our
self. This is where we give to others
and help someone else. This is where
we enjoy the moment and seize the
day. This is our world today.
