PDHPE is one of the six key learning areas in the NSW Primary curriculum, alongside English, Mathematics, and HSIE. It provides a framework for teaching health priorities like drug education, fitness, child protection, and nutrition. The PDHPE K-6 syllabus focuses on overall wellbeing through strands such as active lifestyle, interpersonal relationships, growth and development, and personal health choices. The goal is to develop knowledge and skills that allow students to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
