• Decision No 1982/2006/Ec, 18th December 2006, mapped out the
Seventh Framework Programme
• runs from 1st January 2007 to 31st December 2013
• overriding aim - contribute to the Union becoming the world's leading
research area

• Governing Board meeting in November to sign off on them and plan
the next steps
• Work Package 7 -
• “Communication and dissemination - towards fast growing countries in BRIC,
and advanced economies including y USA, Japan”
• Draft agreement with Heritage Council to establish a website in the
first instance as portal for Work Package 7
• Purpose is the communication and dissemination of information
externally outside the European Union

of the European Union and plays a fundamental role in European
integration by creating links between its citizens
