Interpreting The Brief
The client for this project is Canon. Canon is a company which specialises in
optical, imaging and industrial products. They have a lot of equipment
including cameras which they want to promote more and get them out to the
public. They have required me to create a front cover for them for their
advertorial magazine that promotes their new camera. They also want me to
create a print advert which will also be included in the magazine.
The ‘Journey’ theme that Canon has chosen is to emphasise how photography
can be used creatively and how photography can tell a story.
The target audience for this project is 15-25 and the aim for the project for this
audience is to encourage young people to use Canon equipment and services.
Canon want the piece to be a ‘Journey’ and show how photography can be
used creatively as said before.
They want this piece to be on the free and accessible magazine which will hope
to promote the Canon products through entertaining advertorial content.
