to indie artists?”
Answer: “Consignment is a thing of the
past records stores. So, no.”
Question #2: “How often do marketing
reps visit from the record labels?”
Answer: “Before social media, there were
mainly Rock and Pop label reps popping
their heads in every now and again. But,
since you can DM just about anyone, they
haven’t graced us with their presence in
more than quite a few moons.”

upcoming store events?”
Answer: “Not at this time.”

After speaking to Rachel at Everybody’s Records, she explained to me
that they did not have swag for customers. Merritt (2019) explains
how great swag products include stickers and patches because there
are easy to fit into small space on the counter.

After looking into Everybody’s Records in Cincinnati, OH, I
would not use this brick-and-mortar for my artists’ release. In
my opinion, I believe record stores are a thing of the past
when it comes to sales, appearances, and overall customer/fan
engagement.
