3. Concept Map
What is it?
CK-12’s Concept Map is an interactive tool which
demonstrates visual pathways that represent relationships
between K-12 Math and Science concepts.
Why should I use it?
Teacher: Connected Teaching
Find related content to a particular topic, and see which
concepts as a whole are connected
Identify potential areas of students’ misunderstanding by
knowing which related concepts may have caused it!
Student: Deeper Understanding
Understand that there is a continuum of learning and
concepts are interrelated
Determine that a struggle to understand a concept could be
based on a misunderstanding in another topic. For
example, clearing up confusion in a math concept
could help with understanding physics.
