CGI and TfGM looked to provide
innovative, real-time information that
effectively informs travelers about their
journey, both in planning stage and
throughout the journey itself. CGI,
along with consortium partner Vix
ACIS, designed and developed an
‘Empowered Personal Travel’ service
platform that monitors public transport
providing real-time information on
scheduled arrivals and delays.
• Encourages people to make better
use of existing public transport
infrastructure by providing a level of
assurance throughout their entire
journey experience
• Long-lasting and value-added
relationship with/for the user
• Enables the profiling of individual
travel patterns over time
SAT-LX is an advisory warning system
for level crossings (developed as a proof
of concept with the European Space
Agency) that can be easily deployed to
remote level crossing sites to provide
road users timely information about
approaching trains using satellite
technology. This innovative solution is
designed to improve safety at these
remote locations, whilst minimising the
costs that make investment in
conventional systems difficult to justify.

Jernbaneverket (the National Rail
Administration in Norway) developed
‘My Train’ in partnership with CGI, a
new service that lets travellers see how
often and by how long their train is
delayed. Both CGI and Jernbaneverket
were particularly focused on producing
a simple and direct user interface, with
info graphics that give people the
information they require.

CGI, along with consortium partner Vix ACIS, designed and developed an ‘Empowered Personal Travel’ service platform that monitors public transport providing real-time information on scheduled arrivals and delays. • Encourages people to make better use of existing public transport infrastructure by providing a level of assurance throughout their entire journey experience • Long-lasting and value-added relationship with/for the user • Enables the profiling of individual travel patterns over time SAT-LX is an advisory warning system for level crossings (developed as a proof of concept with the European Space Agency) that can be easily deployed to remote level crossing sites to provide road users timely information about approaching trains using satellite technology. This innovative solution is designed to improve safety at these remote locations, whilst minimising the costs that make investment in conventional systems difficult to justify. • Up-to-date, reliable information to level crossing users • No reliance on trackside power or communications supply • Low unit-cost, easily deployable and maintainable • Built on proven technology • Enables condition based remote monitoring Jernbaneverket (the National Rail Administration in Norway) developed ‘My Train’ in partnership with CGI, a new service that lets travellers see how often and by how long their train is delayed.
