1. Roughly 49% of refugees and immigrants arriving in Middle
Tennessee each year have professional backgrounds. They are
fluent in English, college-educated, have the legal right to work,
and are unemployed or significantly underemployed. In their
home countries they were IT specialists, engineers, accountants,
and healthcare professionals. In the U.S. they become cashiers,
janitors, and cab drivers, if employed at all.
REACH eliminates employment barriers for skilled new
Americans and integrates this population into the professional
U.S. workforce. We do this by providing licensure assistance,
customized training and guidance, career workshops,
mentorships, and internships. The result is global talent for
employers, increased diversity in the workplace, new job
creation, and economic independence for families.
REACH works with companies of all sizes to identify, design,
and implement partnerships, built around shared values and
goals. We will design a partnership that aligns with your
business objectives and achieves defined outcomes that benefit
your organization, World Relief, and the community at large.
