3. My Choice of hero “Wiccan” and the actor
playing his role
I chose the character Wiccan because he was very different to all the other heroes I have
heard of and I felt like he really deserved a movie.
The actor I chose for him was Ashton Arbab. He has a similar hairstyle and appearance to the
character, and I can picture him well in Billy’s costume. He has played Tommy in the film
“Babysitters Guide to Monsterhunting” so he has experience in being a young hero character.
He has been in lots of animated children’s shows including “the loud house”, which may
encourage more younger audiences to want to go. In contrast, he has also been in a dark
series called “General Hospital”, meaning adults will recognise him too.
4. My choice of villain and the actor playing
him
The villain I have chosen in Arcade because he has been ranked as on one of the
scariest villains in the Marvel universe yet hasn’t been given a place in the film area of
Marvel. I think he deserves that place and should be brought into the light.
I have chosen Mathew Modine to play Arcade as I think if his hair was dyed the right
colour he would be perfect. I decided this after watching Stranger Things as I noticed
how as the antagonist “Papa” he created such a creepy atmosphere I thought it suited
Arcades personae. He used to act as a hero in many Superhero movies meaning he is
familiar with the genre.
5. My Choice of Director: Tim Burton
Tim Burton has worked on the film Batman, meaning that he has experience
working with heroes. He tends to focus on lonely or out casted people in his films,
and both the hero and villain in this film are outcasts.
He has worked with characters Lydia Deetz from Beetlejuice and Alice from
Alice in wonderland, who were around the same age as Wiccan. He has worked
with a lot of child actors in his films, meaning he could work well with Aston
Arbab.
