NOTE:
1: It is best, if the webinar is preceded by pre-work, such as a reading assignment, web-based training or a survey.

Share the rules of engagement with the audience.
Rules of Engagement
 Be comfortable and distraction-free for the next hour.
 Share your thoughts and ask questions as we go.
 Be ready at any moment to actively participate.
 Be unafraid to speak your mind.
Say/Explain:
For us to have the best learning session, I have a few requests:
 Please be as comfortable and distraction-free for the next one hour.
 If you can, please mute or shut down any electronic devices around you, let people around you know that
you’ll be unavailable for the next hour and close your door.
 You may grab something to drink; water, tea, coffee.
 Please understand this is going to be an interactive session, so I will be involving you frequently. Feel free to
share your thoughts and ask questions as we go. Remember, sometimes there are no right and wrong
answers.
 I’d like you to be ready to actively participate at sudden notice. So unless you are in a noisy place, please do
not go on mute. However, if at any moment, you feel you are not ready to share your views, please say so. I
can come back to you later.

MODULE 1: Everyday Interactions
Defining a Quality Conversation (5 minutes)
Show Slide 4 – Module 1 – Everyday Interactions:
Say/Explain:
Let’s recap some of the main concepts covered in the related WBT. In this WBT, we looked at ways to improve
everyday interactions with quality conversations. Quality conversations help us engage with each other in a more
meaningful and purposeful manner, build morale, and support each other.
Facilitator Note:
Ask “How would you define a Quality Conversation?” Get responses from participants.
Show Slide 5 – Defining a Quality Conversation:

Facilitator Guide
Say: Well, a quality conversation is a hard conversation that results in positive change. Here, on screen, you can
see some of the most important attributes of a quality conversation.
Activity
Ask each participant to interact with at least one other participant. They may type in a meaningful statement or
question to another online participant.
A sample statement: “How do you think the new strategy will help our team?”
OR “I loved the infographic you made. Would you be able to take a session on infographics?”
Call out a few of the participants names and ask them to share what statement or question they received with the
audience.
Say/Explain:
We’ve asked lots of people how often they have quality conversations at work. Their responses surprisingly indicate
that quality conversations are only a fraction of the overall conversations we have.
Show Slide 6 – Module 1 – Assignment 1:
Facilitator Note:
Direct participants to page 2 in the Participant Guide. Discuss the assignment question with the participants.
Ensure maximum participation.

Course Wrap-Up (4 minutes)
Facilitator Note:
Sum up the session with key points and ask questions about their feedback and questions if any.
Student Handout
Share the student handout on ‘High-Quality Interactions’ with all the participants, online.
Say/Explain:
Please go through the handout I’ve shared with you. It briefly explains all that we’ve covered so far.
So, to summarize this session, here are the 3 big ideas we’ve covered today:
 Our conversations must be purposeful.
 We must give meaningful feedback in ways that make listeners receptive.
 We cannot shy away from tough and challenging conversations.
ASK 1-2 participants for their insights from the program.
SAY: Before we sign off, I’d like each of you to commit to at least ONE thing that you will begin doing to ensure you
have better interactions in the workplace. Call on a few people to share what they intend to do?
Note: We have also included ideas in the handout for how to continue your learning. Please promise to practise the
skills you have picked up today. It will surely improve your everyday interactions.
As we wrap up, I request you to fill up the survey that I will send you soon after this webinar. Please share your
honest feedback; it will be very helpful in tailoring our next few webinars.
Thanks: That’s the end of today’s session. I will stay on the line if you have any more questions. You can also mail
me later if you want any clarifications. Otherwise, thank you for your commitment and time. Goodbye!
Stay on line till all the participants leave the call.

Anita Kumar www.elearningchalk.com Webinar Facilitator Guide Course Wrap-Up (4 minutes) Facilitator Note: Sum up the session with key points and ask questions about their feedback and questions if any. Student Handout Share the student handout on ‘High-Quality Interactions’ with all the participants, online. Say/Explain: Please go through the handout I’ve shared with you. It briefly explains all that we’ve covered so far. So, to summarize this session, here are the 3 big ideas we’ve covered today:  Our conversations must be purposeful.  We must give meaningful feedback in ways that make listeners receptive.  We cannot shy away from tough and challenging conversations. ASK 1-2 participants for their insights from the program. SAY: Before we sign off, I’d like each of you to commit to at least ONE thing that you will begin doing to ensure you have better interactions in the workplace. Call on a few people to share what they intend to do? Note: We have also included ideas in the handout for how to continue your learning. Please promise to practise the skills you have picked up today. It will surely improve your everyday interactions. As we wrap up, I request you to fill up the survey that I will send you soon after this webinar. Please share your honest feedback; it will be very helpful in tailoring our next few webinars. Thanks: That’s the end of today’s session. I will stay on the line if you have any more questions. You can also mail me later if you want any clarifications. Otherwise, thank you for your commitment and time. Goodbye! Stay on line till all the participants leave the call. REF
