2. The Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU) is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a
series of superhero films, independently produced by Marvel Studios and based on characters that
appear in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The franchise also includes comic books,
short movies, television series and digital series. The first Marvel Movie was Iron-Man filmed in 2008
which became the first phase of movies to appear in the crossover filmThe Avengers(2012). Phase 2
began with Iron-Man 3(2013) and concluded with Ant-Man(2015).The third phase started with Captain
America: CivilWar (2016) and is going to conclude with Spider-Man: Far From Home. The first 22 movies
of MCU are known as “The Infinity Saga”. MarvelTelevision expanded the universe with the tv shows:
Marvel’s Agents OF S.H.I.E.L.D(ABC), Marvel’s Daredevil(Netflix), Marvel’s Runaway(Hulu), Marvel’s
Cloak & Dagger(Freedom) and Slingshot(ABC).By 2005, Marvel Entertainment began planning to
independently produce its own movies through Paramount Pictures. As a result , Marvel Studios became
Hollywood’s first major independent movie studio since DreamWorks.
3. Marvel started in 1939 asTimely Comics, and by early 1950s became Atlas Comics. However, the Marvel era
began in 1961, the year that the company launched its more classic comics Fantastic Four and other
superhero titles created mainly by Stan Lee, Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby. The first modern Marvel comics
were the Sci-Fi anthology “Journey into Mystery” and “PatsyWalker” due to DC Comic’s success in reviving
superheroes in the late 50s and 60s particularly with Flash, Green Lantern and other members of the team
of League of America. Marvel Comics developed a reputation for focusing on characterization and adult
issues to a greater extent that the usual superhero movies which seemed to be appreciated by the older
generation more. This applied to The Amazing Spider-Man title in particular, which turned to be Marvel’s
most successful comic.

4. Stan Lee (December 28 1922-November 12 2018) was an American comic book writer, editor, publisher and producer. He rose
through ranks of a family-run business to become Marvel Comics’ primary creative leader for two decades, leading its
expansion from a small division of a publishing house to a multimedia corporation that dominated the comic industry. He also

5. Marvel’s SUPERHEROES
Marvel heroes are a lot and most of them do not even appear in any movie or tv show. So I am going

instance there are The Fantastic-Four,
The X-Men, The Avengers etc. I am mainly going to talk about The Avengers and the
