- 1. Ms muthondu Biology teacher; k - 9 Welcome Parents.
- 2. 21st century teaching and learning. The main goal for the 21st century is to see the student excel in all their subject area. Technology is one way that the students are supposed to enhance their knowledge and skills. In my class, i expect my students to incorporate their studies with technology that is available. The students can now take the advantage of the internet to gather more materials as they still use their texts books.
- 3. Technology in classroom; the 21st century standard. I do intend to use computer in my classroom as a way of showing students, how to gather more materials from the internet. This will increase students skills in using the computers, and benefiting from it.
- 4. Classroom Objectives -working on a cell - Every student need to know all the organs that make up a cell and their functions. - Each individual is required to draw all these organs, cut and stick them on an individual card board, and then hang them on the classroom wall. This will enhance their visual learning and memory.
- 5. laboratory projec t - The students will be required to work with the microscopes. - They are required to work with cheek cells and identify different organelles. - The student will be required to do more research about the different organelles from the internet. -Finally , they will be required to write a lab report.
- 6. Lab report format A lab report need to be in the following format. 1.Abstract: This is where all what was done in the lab is summarized 2.Introduction 3.materials used in the lab. 4. Method. 5. discussion and conclusion
- 7. Grading. - Attendance is mandatory in my classroom and it counts for 10% of the grade. - Classroom assignments 20%. - Quizzes 25 %. - Research from the internet 10% - Lab report 35 %.
