FADE IN AND YOU GET A PANNING SHOT OF THE
QUEEN EMMA SCHOOL. WHEN IT’S FANNING, THE
OPENING CREDITS WILL COME UP ON THE SCREEN.
FADE OUT AND THEN YOU HEAR FOOTSTEPS AND
PANTING.
SLOWLY FADE IN AND YOU GET A WIDE SHOT OF THE
QUEEN EMMA SCHOOL.
THE CAMERA IS ZOOMED IN ON THE TREES WHERE THE
PANNING SHOT STOPPED, THE CAMERA ZOOMS OUT AND
TURNS INTO A WIDE SHOT.
JOHN RUNS IN FRONT OF THE QUEEN EMMA SCHOOL.
WHEN DOING SO, THIS WILL BE A WIDE SHOT SO THE
AUDIENCE CAN SEE THE BACKGROUND. WHEN IN THE
WIDE SHOT THE CAMERA SHOULD SWITH TO SHOT 6
WHEN JOHN IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.
THE CAMERA SWITCHES SO THAT THE VIEWER CAN SEE
WHAT JOHN IS LOOKING AT WHEN HE TURNS AROUND
WHEN HE IS RUNNING.
THE CAMERA CHANGES BACK TO THE WIDE SHOT WHEN
JOHN IS RUNNING PAST, IT CHANGES BACK JUST
AFTER HE LOOKS BEHIND.
IT FADES BACK TO BLACK AND THEN THE FOOTSTEPS
AND THE PANTING STOPS.
THE CAMERA FADES IN AND YOU NOW SEE JOHN LYING
ON THE FLOOR IN THE ALLEYWAY.

THE CAMERA ZOOMS IN ON JOHNS ARM AND YOU CAN

THE CAMERA CHANGES BACK TO SHOT 10
THE CAMERA STOPS ZOOMING IN ON JOHN.
WHEN THE CAMERA STOPS ZOOMING IN THERE IS A
FLASH OF LIGHT AND THE SHOT TURNS INTO A
PICTURE.

THE CAMERA STARTS TO ZOOM OUT AND YOU CAN SEE
THAT THE PICTURE IS NOW IN THE NEWSPAPER.
THE CAMERA KEEPS ZOOMING OUT UNTIL YOU GET AN
OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT OF THE DETECTIVE
SITTING THERE AND READING THE NEWSPAPER AND
STUDYING THE PICTURE.
THE CAMERA THEN CHANGES TO THE OTHER SIDE OF
THE NEWSPAPER AND YOU CAN SEE THE DATE OF WHEN
THE NEWSPAPER WAS MADE.
THE CAMERA SWITCHES BACK TO AN OVER THE
SHOULDER SHOT AGAIN. THE DETECTIVE PUTS THE
NEWSPAPER ON THE TABLE/DESK.
THE CAMERA THEN CHANGES TO A VIEW OF AN OLD
FASHIONED PHONE. YOU THEN SEE A HAND THAT
PICKS UP THE PHONE.
THE DETECTIVE STARTS TO DIAL THE NUMBER TO THE
LOCAL NEWSPAPER (THE OLD POST).
THE CAMERA THEN CHANGES TO THE DOOR AND THEN
THE DETECTIVE’S BOSS, GARY WALKS IN TO THE
ROOM AND LEANS OVER THE TABLE.
THOMAS, THE DETECTIVE STOPS DIALING AND PLACES
THE PHONE BACK DOWN. (ARIAL SHOT)
A CLOSE UP SHOT OF GARY LEANING ON THE TABLE.
THIS IS WHEN HE STARTS THE CONVERSATION.
THE CAMERA THEN SWITCHES TO THOMAS.
A CLOSE UP OF THOMAS WHEN HE REPLIES.
FADE TO BLACK
